Merckens wert ist die Lage des Hauses und die gelungene Ausstattung. Ein überaus freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal fachlich versiert und sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt keinen Wunsch aus und es ist jedem zu empfehlen die Abendkarte im Kaufmannsladen zu probieren. Eine sehr gelungene Komposition von Speisen. Immer wieder gerne.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück ist sehr gut und reichlich. Ebenso das Angebot im Restaurant.

It has a nice atmosphere, good to relax after work in the swimming pool great bar and restaurant, and next day a delicious breakfast. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

In the spa, the water temperature could have been a bit higher,...

The room was very tastfully decorated. The location with a view to the fiord is wonderful! Friendly staff.

The shower stall floor was very slippery when wet.

Very nice location; 5 minute walk to walk through the park, 2 km from the center. Everything was very nice and clean and well thought. The breakfast was fantastic, too many offers for every taste. Definitely another visit will be considered

this place is so romantic and cozy. I liked it so much how they welcomed our dog with a treat and a letter which said that he was welcome also in the restaurant area. 🥰

The room was nice and big. Upon arrival we requested another room, with a bathtub, and we were offered one. The breakfast was amazing! One of the best ones I've had at hotels. There's no AC in the rooms, but with windows open, it was nice and cool!

The pillows were flat and uncomfortable, so I was glad I brought my own. We were awaken the next morning at 8 am, by loud banging noises from the corridor. When I asked the staff, they were not sure what it was. Later they found out, that there was supposed to be a little construction going on. The staff were not made aware of it, neither were we. Our dog got very scared of the noises. We didn't get much as a compensation, but an apology. Luckily, the noises stopped after some couple of hours.

The pillows were not at all comfortable, when I asked for firmer and smaller, your staff obviously did not understand. Replaced with the same?!

Great food, pleasant pa facilities. Up-to-date rooms with good beds (and quality linen). Generally very friendly staff.

Chick-in staff offered to bring vase (for large bunch of flowers) to room - but didn't. Minibar not stocked - but that's presumably due to Corona.

Very nice hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms, a beautiful view and location and free parking. We will be happy to come again.

The restaurant was completely booked during our stay. When we asked to order on the room instead we were told that in this case we had to pick up the food ourselves. Never had something like this in a hotel before and we always stay in 4+ star hotels. Also we would expect that the restaurant prioritises inhouse guests over external visitors or it should be asked / offered when booking rooms, especially when the booking is for several rooms and several days. The pillows were too thin for us.

proximity to Kiellinie and parks

No one warned us about the blocked streets (there was a running event we did not know about) and we had difficulties leaving the venue and picking up the luggage, had to park far away. The reception desk clerk said that we should have received a warning through Booking.com and a piece of paper in our room which we both did not get. So he said "it is not our fault". He actually argued with my husband about who´s fault it is. At the day of arrival no one told us about the problems on Sunday. The running path went right by the hotel and the street was blocked. Other guests had the same problem with the information flow.
