The staff were wonderfully friendly, always helpful, and made our stay as comfortable as could be expected. Breakfast was very enjoyable, with plenty on offer from the buffet, and the coffee was predictably excellent. The pool area was also comfortable, well laid out, and a nice place to relax when you're having a more chilled day.

Our only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the beds in the room weren't great. We knew a twin double in a 2 star hotel wouldn't be amazing, but the covers and mattress were mildly uncomfortable as they were too thin and hard.

We stayed two nights and had comfortable rooms and balconies, with a leafy view past the pool to the sea. The hotel is well situated, with an easy 10 minute walk into the centre (and a few minutes, but 250 steps up, from the Lumbi car park), but is in a quiet cul-de-sac well away from the nightlife (still vibrant in mid September). Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice in this large hotel (the best breakfast we had in our five locations in Sicily this time), including salad and high-protein options. I appreciated the zero tolerance attitude at reception when I reported noisy neighbours - "they won't be staying tonight" was the very firm message!

I was disappointed that I had no chance to enjoy the pool - at 9.30 on the cloudy September morning the water was too cold for me, and we had other plans for the rest of the day. In hotter weather, I would have liked to swim before breakfast, but it isn't allowed before 9.00 (I can understand that noisy social swimming might disturb the bedrooms close by - but generally pre-breakfast swimming is quiet, in my experience). The valet parking (€20 per day) was as expensive as everything else in Taormina, but unavoidable arriving on our first night, as the car park outside is for residents only. If we had been staying longer/arriving earlier we would have researched the possibility of keeping our car in the Lumbi car park overnight after putting our luggage down at the hotel, as the hotel is almost directly above this (250 steps up from the roof of the car park and 5 minutes up the road). [btw, when following the directions to drive to the hotel, do keep an eye for the low-key archway to the right as well as the pedestrians crossing, or it will be another 15 minutes to circuit the town to reach this point again]

Excellent Stay! First off the family that runs this hotel is outstanding. They go above and beyond organizing, helping, and being informative. ‘Just ask Roberta!’ Breakfast is excellent and plentiful. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. This hotel is definitely not a 2 star, it is much better than this. It’s an easy walk to the main area, yet far enough away to be quiet especially at night. We were here for 8 days and would very happily stay here again.

An oasis of calm in crazy busy taormina. Our room and bathroom were huge, lovely balcony and pool, the location was just 5 minutes walk from the main street but it was bliss to get away from it all and the staff were so friendly and smiley. A great find.

Soleado has very kind and welcoming staff. They were always on hand to help out and very accomodating. The coffee at breakfast was particularly amazing. Location is great, and the private beach with shuttle was excellent value for money!

Breakfasts were very good, excellent service provided by the family running the hotel, good choices and really nice atmosphere. Room was modest but the renovated bathroom was 5 star. Efficient air-con, good position of the hotel, very close to the center. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Parking the car could be an issue, but the owner took care of it, cost was 20 euro per day.

This is an extremely friendly and efficiently run family hotel near the centre of Taormina (5 minutes walk) . The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond. It might be classed as a 2 star hotel but we give it 4 stars for the customer service ! We would definately stay at this hotel again. Thank you Roberto and all of your staff for a wonderful stay !

You feel the warmth of a family owned hotel. Very helpful, polite and warmhearted staff and owner. We felt very comftorable. Helped us immedeately with a Problem with our lost Credit card, some Parking places direct in Front of the hotel. Extremely quiet and relaxing place, just 10 Minutes away from the center of the City. Nice swimming Pool, clean and big (family-) appartements with balcons with view to the sea and Pool. Thank you for your hospitality, i will recommend your hotel!
