online it looked very smart. our room looked onto a brick wall, not good. They did change the room but it was on,y on departure we realised they charged extra for the new room. we were never told of this.

breakfast was exactly the same every morning. the breakfast room was nothing like the downstairs, looked very tacky. Although the cold ingredients were ok, the hot dishes like scramble eggs were cold every morning for three mornings. when I asked could the make a hot omelette that was extra. A bottle of water was five euros, and room service were hopeless. never once got the order right, so tea etc was cold by the time they returned for milk. Three days in a row. it’s as if the room service and breakfast room do not have the right people in charge. no organisation as. befits either this four or five star hotel. barman at night was very good, knew his drinks

Delightfully friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Traditional & elegant interiors with grandiose chandeliers. Spotlessly clean. Excellent location. Generous breakfasts to suit all tastes. Iconic piano bar hosted by a charming gentleman waiter serving colorful cocktails. Not forgetting the delightful surprise with the evening turn down service. Overall, it was a very special experience. Thank you.

No kettle, iron, morning noise & AC didn't seem to work? BUT we did choose the cheaper rooms, so this should not be taken as a complaint and would highly recommend staying at the Grand Wagner

Unfortunately, we struggled to find a laundromat to do a couple of basic loads of laundry so asked the hotel to do it. There was no list of prices given for items and it ended up costing us €236. Admittedly, we should have asked more questions, but this was still a considerably extortionate sum and left us feeling absolutely robbed. We also had problems with the room temperature & whenever we tried to cool it down, it seemed to get hotter, which made for some unpleasant nights sleep.

Mosquitoes were too many in the first room. We killed 9 mosquitoes and some were still alive. my son had 25 mosquito bites. The mosquito plug doesn’t work at all. Glasses in the mini bar were not clean.

The AC control panel in our room. The staff who came to fix the problem didn’t speak English. We had to open the balcony door few times in a night to cool down the room. I guess the problem was the duo-control in the panel with one set to 30°C and couldn’t be changed.

We had booked a 2 night stay at your hotel. We were unable to arrive the first night due to airline travel delays (not our fault). I notified the hotel the night of our arrival regarding this but we were still charged for a full night stay.

If you like belle epoque grandeur, then Hotel Wagner is your place :-) Don’t listen to some previous reviews, the hotel is not dated at all. My room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable. The bathroom very big including a bidet (that is standard in Italy, but rarely in outher countries). The reception and all other staff very pleasant. Location is perfect if you want to be in the very centre of Palermo. I booked the hotel some 6 weeks ahead, probably this is why the rate felt good value.

The breakfast room is on the top floor and not enough protection against very strong Sun - the brekfast room was too hot even at 8 am. Generally the decoration of brekafast room was basic - not up to the hotel grandeur. Strange wifi system, each room has a code for a different router - this doesn’t work most of the time. Then reception gives you access toa general router - why not start with that?

The hotel is very well located on a quiet street in the centre of Palermo, near excellent restaurants. The breakfast was good. The staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating. The air conditioning in the room worked perfectly and was quiet.

Pillows could have been softer, wished I had a room with a better view. I just had a view of a wall.

The room was lovely. Comfy bed and the softest bathrobe I've ever felt.
