Literally on beach, unobstructed ocean view
La perle vague est la première maison de la plage dans un quartier calme (rien que la plage en face de notre place). Profitez de la belle vue dégagée! Des promenades romantiques sur la plage sont juste devant la porte, ou dirigez les enfants en lambeaux sur la plage toute la journée, puis asseyez-vous autour de la grande salle sur le canapé confortable ou détendez-vous à la fin d'une journée "beachy" dans votre jacuzzi! Notre plage est plus sûre pour les enfants car aucune voiture n'est autorisée sur la plage en face de notre maison toute l'année !! Une grande terrasse avec de nombreux sièges et une terrasse supplémentaire au dernier étage constituent le cadre idéal pour écouter le son paisible des vagues. Vous envisagez de vous réunir en famille lors de Thanksgiving ou de Noël sur le front de mer? Aucun problème! Avec de nombreuses fenêtres offrant une vue imprenable sur l'océan, observez et entendez les vagues assis au coin du feu!
Avec près de 1900 pieds carrés, la maison dispose de 3 chambres de bonne taille et 2 salles de bain complètes, pouvant accueillir 13 personnes confortablement. Les deux étages ont un haut plafond qui est une trouvaille rare pour les maisons de plage et vous donnera la sensation de vent même à l'intérieur.
La suite principale située au dernier étage dispose de son propre pont, renforçant probablement la plus haute vue sur l'océan du quartier. La suite principale a un lit king-size et un lit jumeau. La salle de bain principale comprend une double vasque, une douche à l'italienne et une baignoire à jets avec vue sur l'océan.
Le rez-de-chaussée comprend deux chambres spacieuses séparées par une salle de bain complète. Le salon / salle à manger a un plan d'étage ouvert avec vue directe sur l'océan depuis les neuf fenêtres. Le salon s'ouvre sur une grande terrasse en bois offrant une vue directe et dégagée sur la plage et l'océan. La terrasse en bois est couverte aux 2/3 afin que vous puissiez profiter de la brise extérieure et de la vue sur l'océan à l'ombre aussi longtemps que vous le souhaitez!
Nous fournissons presque tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour vous sentir chez vous! Toute la literie est fournie pour les lits dont vous auriez besoin - draps, oreillers, taies d'oreiller et édredons / couettes. Cette maison est idéalement située à côté d'un sentier piétonnier menant à la plage, sans voiture, à l'écart des zones de chargement et de déchargement de voitures très fréquentées par un point d'accès à la plage typique. Le sentier est sablonneux et ne vous oblige pas à naviguer parmi les herbes. Il suffit de descendre de la maison à tout moment et vous serez sur la plage. The house has a big great room and spacious kitchen where we could cook meals and still be engaged with the family. The house walks right out onto the private beach. Only 10 minutes to the Walmart and 15 minutes from the pier. Great location!
When we arrived, the owners were there still cleaning up from the hurricane. They were very nice and extremely responsive when I had a question.

We checked in exactly one week after the area was hit with a hurricane so we were apprehensive about going. However, our host communicated thier progress regularly and when we arrived they were finishing up what repairs could be made. The house is right on the beach so it made it easy for the adults to sit on the porch and watch the teenagers play on the beach. The hostess was quick to respond to the few minor problems we had and resolved the issues. All of the furniture was in great shape and was accommodating for the 7 of us. Great experience overall.

Can’t say enough good things about Peggy the host! She refunded a day of our trip due to the tropical storm and kept in constant contact updating us on the conditions, and told us when if was safest to come. Also, her and her husband worked long hours to make the property after for us after the storm. So, like I said, can’t say enough good things about Peggy. On a scale of 1 to 5, she’s a 6! House is literally right on the water, with the high tide Peggy and her husband worked to put down concrete bags to make it safer and cleaned the parking area from the storm surge. So afain, can’t say enough good things about Peggy!

Very clean inside and right on beach . Quaint beach house literally on top of the developing dune. It’s about 15 steps from house to beach . Beach is blocked from traffic in older Spanish Grant Beach pocket which puts it very close to Galveston and yet far enough for some quiet beach front . We felt like we had a private beach for most of the time with expansive ocean view. House has a lot of “Character” on the outside and is obviously in battle with the salt air being about 30 yards from the ocean spray but for us added to the ambiance. Check in and check out easy and no hassle . Owner communications were timely , polite and helpfull. Inside everything is open and very clean. Good idea having weather simulated hard wood floors throughout makes for clean and easy look. Owner went to a lot of trouble to put things right where you would need them for comfort and efficiency . Little things like had soap at every sink and all the extras is nice touch . Even though your there for the beach most likely, great work with the tvs - all new smart tvs in all rooms were great touch including massive 86 inch in main room . All worked all easy to use. House has a central ac unit that runs loud and works hard and owner has installed what look like pretty new smaller window unit’s in every room that chill it up pretty good and that with good overhead fans means house is plenty cool . Window units can be noisy if your light sleeper- great beds . All and all great beach house !

We had a fantastic stay! Absolutely gorgeous location and so clean and nice inside! My husband and I came down for Mardi Gras with 3 other adults and - I'm not going to lie - we were a little concerned at the outside. It is a little weathered and things "look" worn out - but the longer we stayed, the more we realized why. We've stayed in a lot of beach houses on Galveston and the sea spray and wind at this location are ample! This house is constantly getting a dose of the elements, so of course the outside is weathered with the continual salt exposure. Some things outside were a little rusty and swollen. Some of the doors did stick and needed a little help opening/closing. BUT the inside is updated, very pretty, very clean, and comfortable. The upstairs bed was comfortable, the top dock was nice, very stable, and had an amazing view. We had a great time and really enjoyed the immediate beach access. The location is perfect - not too close to the noise of the city, but a short drive to food and entertainment. The address took us right to the property and the instructions from the owner were perfect - no issues accessing the property. If we were to complain about anything, it would be the toilet paper. We bought our own after the first night - the tp provided was the worst possible and should definitely be reconsidered. Other than that non-issue, we would definitely rebook and stay for even longer!

The interior was ok, beds were great The exterior is in bad need of repair. rotting wood on home and deck very prominent. windows single pane so wind, mosture and if it had been summer, heat would have been unbearable. other homes in neighborhood were well kept, this was not. also i had a fall. We arrived around 6 so sun had gone down. there was a swing on the porch you have to walk by. problem was with poor lighting, you could not see the chain bolting the swing to the deck. my foot caught the chain, i fell. injured my knee, my pinky broken, and wrist hurt. we left a day early so i could get home. The beach was amazing, the views from deck amazing. yard area needs cleaned up, stickers all in yard as well. interior was clean. if they dont put some money into the exterior the house is going to rot down. counters, ceiling fans, wall texture, windows all out dated. There was an extreme sewer smell but we opened the doors in the house(2) and smell diminished. Doors didnt close properly and front door was designed to open in, they have it opening out and it is in rotted wood.

We have come down to Galveston the past 4 years, staying in different rentals. This is hands down the best rental we have stayed at.
The exterior has a little superficial wear and tear typical of beach houses. But everything inside is in excellent condition, and as depicted in the listing. It was super clean, smelled good, and they even provided basics like shampoo (and even q tips!) The location is right on the beach, and there are sand/beach toys available for the kids. The owners were quickly accessible when we had a question about the TV.

We really enjoyed our stay and all the amenities provided by the owner. We had enough and more of everything to provide for the family as noted on listing. We will stay again in the future for sure. The location is right on the beach, amazing views and so much easier when traveling with children to go back and forth. The only thing I would recommend is asking the cleaning crew to dust and clean floors bc it’s been a long time and my littles feet were black within 10 min of crawling on floor. Other than that, no complaints at all.

This beach house has the best accommodations we have experienced in Galveston so far! We look forward to staying at this location again. Everything was fully stocked, we wanted for nothing. This house has central air AND window units and fans and made for a very comfortable environment. The ocean view is wonderful, beds are comfortable and it was a great experience!

The place was at a great location and we had a blast. The host also provided beach cabanas, chairs and pull wagon to take things to the beach. The place was clean with lot of good amenities and clean towels, shampoo and vessels provided. The one thing I did not like is the deposit that I was asked to put in of 3000$ which then forced me to buy the insurance. Out side of that, every penny spent was worth it. Thank you for hosting us.

The property is located practically on the beach. It’s pretty amazing. We loved having coffee and drinks overlooking the water while sitting on the patio. We stayed during the week and it was quiet. It was a great stay!

Great location and so easy to go to the beach! Definitely a great spot. House is a bit older, so the front door and one of the bedroom doors did not close very well. Very windy since the house is beachfront, and we could also feel the house moving in the wind. Just something to be aware of. But overall, cleanliness and location was great. Thanks for our stay.

The house was perfect for our stay. We have 7 kids in varying ages and we were able to comfortably stay and access the beach very easily. The house stayed nice and cool all day. We have stayed at a few other beach houses before and usually they never stay cool enough! It was very easy to keep the sand contained with the washing areas below the house. We would definitely stay here again.

This house is a true gem! It sits right on the beach, there’s no other house closer. Everything about our two-week stay was perfect. Everything was as-advertised—or better! Here are some details:
1) The house was surgically clean.
2) Everything worked.
3) All beach-fun stuff is there— towels, shade awning, beach cart, chairs in all sizes and styles, kids toys, Weber barbecue grill and tools and more.
4) Nice porch chairs, 2 heavy picnic tables (shaded) plus the house is situated (angled) perfectly for viewing the beach and providing shade from the sun.
5) You MUST be aware that you are limited to FOUR cars, at any one time. There is zero option beyond four cars.
6) The kitchen is very well equipped, every single thing we needed was already there. Refrigerator and Freezer was huge and perfect.

Perfect location, literally right on the water, the house is nice and clean. Family oriented neighborhood; the beach is nice and clean. We had all we needed to cook, for the beach, for washing, for grilling. The owners are always available and answer emails or texts ASAP. Once again, the outside shower could use some upgrading but is okay. this is the second time we stay at this property and we will come back if possible.

We had originally planned to have all of our children and dog stay with us during our stay but in the end we only brought our 2 youngest kids with us. The home was very large and roomy. I'm sure that it would have felt the same if we had more guests with us. Especially the main living area. The owner was very easy to speak to and responds immediately. I was provided all the information I needed for my stay days in advance of our trip. Then after we arrived I saw that the same information was taped to a main door off the kitchen area. I have never stayed in a more considerate home. As a busy mom I often times struggle to keep everything straight and organized when we travel. But the owner takes all the stress of an unfamiliar home off your shoulders. Make sure you stop by the house before you go to the store. We were surprised to have tissues, q-tips, cotton balls, hand soap, tp, shower products, etc provided in every space. I usually always have to buy paper goods and hand soaps then lug it all home or leave it behind. Also everything is labeled! Which is so helpful. So you know which way to turn the knobs in the shower and what is in the cabinets. We have been home for over a week now and my kids still ask almost daily when we can go back.

This house is literally steps from the beach, which is what most people are looking for. It was very clean and provided everything we needed or forgot to bring. Peggy was awesome and provided assistance when we asked.
