We travelled 10 days before NZ school holidays to avoid crowds and chaos. I stayed with my 8 year old son. The buffet food for breakfast and dinner were superb, the staff were always so friendly. Loads of activities to do and the snorkelling was excellent.

Some of the guests staying next to us were very noisy and inconsiderate ... there was no respect for peace and quiet for bed time for little kids, other people slamming doors constantly, swearing and shouting very loud right outside our room. I had to tell them to quiet down several times. I asked for a quiet room location but we were placed next to noisy teenagers and parents who just had no consideration. Next time I will be sure to book an upstairs apartment or somewhere but not in a unit with inconsiderate people on both sides.

Everything about Plantation is amazing. The best family resort - so much for the kids to do! ( I read 4 entire novels - I can't remember the last time I has enough alone time to do that!). Definitely recommend hiring bikes to get around. The kids loved all the kids club activities - they can opt in and out depending on what they are interested in. They LOVED the new jungle water park. The staff are wonderful - especially Nenisa (sp?) at the Ocean bar learning my name and favourite order from the first day hahaha. The wonderful kids club team and the staff at the Black Coral restaurant especially delivering great service. The Polynesian night show was a highlight as well as the activities for adults such as the cooking classes. Great family sized rooms. We will definitely be back!

Conflicting information from staff sometimes. Had to keep requesting room service. Showers. Bathroom was always smelly. Food was very hit and miss. Snorkeling reef trip was supposed to be 1 hour but made us return to the boat after 45 mins on both trips. Not very friendly staff on those trips but everyone else was so lovely.

Great location and facilities for kids.

The area in front of our room is as flooded regularly due to the heavy rainfall. They need to work on better drainage.

The rooms were lovely, spacious, clean and close and easy access to the water. The grounds were immaculate. Lots to do for children. Children’s club was excellent. Pools were lovey. The activities, snorkelling, kayaking, great and the staff were really helpful. Love the way staff interacted with the children and look after them. Very special care.

We were very excited to hire bikes, good idea, however, the chains kept coming off one bike. We took it back several times and asked if we could have it for one extra day is it did not work for nearly one day properly and we were treated quite rudely. I was not impressed with the food. The first night at Italian night was terrible, however improved after that . Our main disappointment was that we were unaware you have to book to get into restaurants, days ahead and with a one and two-year-old we could not get in to several restaurants as they were fully booked,they had a free kids meal at. 5.30 that was excellent . But then it was difficult for us to get t o dinner which normally ended up with a pizza very disappointing as we did not want nanny servservice every night to have to have a meal.

A lot of manual processes taking up so much time Plus all the need to walk all the way to reception for almost everything! Resort has gone paperless but manual processes still remains

food was very expensive as was alocohol and giftshop, limited menus, poor value, pool table is poor condition, limited water activities due to tide, some equipment was in poor condition and unusuable

Absolutely beautiful location, great views from the restaurants and pools. It was so much fun to rent the bikes on the island. The kids did some cool activities at the kids club. The staff were warm and welcoming.

Beautiful location of room (beachfront bure), great choice of restaurants, excellent activities and facilities for the kids, and just a great spot! We went with our 7 yo and 3 yo and we’ll definitely go back for another family holiday. My parents also joined (garden room) which was also great and excellent value for money.

Only thing to be aware of is no ‘kitchen’ facilities in your room (just tea/coffee) so it’s designed to eat out at restaurants every meal. You also need to make sure you book in restaurants early as we missed out on our favourites a couple of times as there are limited seatings.

Amazing place to visit, relax, have fun with family and kids. The staff are so warm, caring, kind and friendly and helpful. My 7 year old boy just loved all of the activities from paddle boarding, water park, snorkelling to the table tennis and fun nightly shows and activities. Kids club was awesome, great way for kids to make new friends and do activities that are fun and learning together. Food was exceptional whether it was the buffet breakfast and dinner or a la carte. Meal plan was good value!

The people working at the resort are super friendly and the really make the resort in my opinion. This resort provides excellent value for money. Kids had a blast, and we really enjoyed the food in the a la carte restaurants.

Buffet dinner is ok, but does not compare with the a la carte restaurant options which are better. Breakfast buffet is good though.

The staff memebers are amazing! Loved the friendliness of everyone here. Highly recommend hiring the bula bikes, especially with kids. Love the swimming pools and also the nannys and the way they looked after our kids!

Some Improvements: 1. More signs - they need more visible signs around the island showing where things are eg: how to get to musket cove 2. Thought the prices at the restaurants were overpriced for what they were..

Location was amazing, most staff were very nice. The room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view

Staff were rather difficult when it came to either paying by card or splitting a bill, most expected to charge it to the room. I was travelling with a friend where this wasn’t possible or ideal as we were purchasing different things.

Location and water was so peaceful and beautiful Staff were friendly. We had an ocean view bure and loved the position being right across from the beach...great view to wake up to Watersports, paddleboarding, kayaking and inflatables were included and fun Sunsets were spectacular. Great place to relax and wind down...7 nights was a good amount of time on the island

Bikes were good to have a ride around the island but pretty expensive. For 3 of us cost $210 Fjd for 2 days Would have liked a bit more variety with the dining at Tavola, maybe a specials board to change things up. Food we did have was nice though. Buffet changed menu nightly and the food was good but expensive for a buffet dinner ($195 fjd per night for 3) with no soft drinks or juice included like at the breakfast buffet. Not complaining just mentioning for others to be aware.
