Very friendly staff, comfortable bed and plenty of parking. The breakfast was very tasty too, a buffet breakfast with a good selection.

The food was ok.
We stayed for 1 night on Wednesday 16th August.
We regularly travel around the country, staying in hotels, pubs with rooms etc., and can safely say that this was the worst room we have ever stayed in.
The room was really drab, dark with a cool, damp feel and was not clen. The furnishings were old and dirty, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom floor was dirty, there was lots of mould in the bathroom, the chair at the dressing table was also dirty and mouldy, the shower would only provide cold water, and the wash hand basin sink blocked and was very slow to drain after filling it with water. This was totally different to the reviews that we read on booking.com at the time of making the booking.

When we arrived around 5:30pm, after a 4 hour journey, we sat outside in the sunshine having a drink and a meal and went to bed around 9pm, as we had an early start in the morning. We obviously were not aware of the condition of the room and facilities until we retired for the night so were unable to discuss it at the time.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that it is part of the contract that the hotel provides its services with reasonable care and skill. If they do not carry out their part of the deal you are entitled to receive compensation or money off for their failure. On this occasion the contract was for the Belle Vue Hotel to provide/deliver a clean room with an ensuite shower, that delivers hot water. We do not expect to be allocated a dirty, mouldy room with a cold shower.
As the hotel declined to provide a refund, we will be pursuing this via the appropriate channels.

Excellent check-in, Messaged ahead and asked if we could check in early which was no problem at all, the room had everything that we needed and for the price i would challenge anyone to find better. Staff were really attentive, from the Girls on the bar to then chap doing breakfast. one of the most welcoming places We have stayed

Breakfast was Superb, Everything you could ask for and more. Staff were so attentive and friendly. I have seen a couple of negative reviews on here but do not let that put you off, room was comfortable with everything i needed. I even booked a second night whilst i was there

it was in an area easy to find , close to the venue we were going to for the day , a lovely meal & a snack breakfast for us to take on our next day trip

The staff were accomadating and very helpfull. Food was home cooked traditional, lovely enjoyed. Breakfast was so filling and a good choice. They also catered for our puppy as well. Will be returning some time in the future. Plesant local pub

Comfortable rooms in an excellent location for exploring the area. The rooms are located away from the bar area and we did not hear any noise at all. The bar itself serves food and we opted to have an evening meal which was delicious, well presented and excellent value for money. The rooms are comfortable and and equipped with flat screen TV, kettle and Wi-Fi.
We had a comfortable nights stay and the next morning the breakfast was a great start to the day. All in all, we found this accommodation to be excellent value for money with great, friendly service and we highly recommend it.

The beds were very comfortable and warm which is all we needed and the breakfast in the morning was very good ++. The hotel also has a pub attached which serves very good meals and drinks at very good prices.

The staff were friendly. Breakfast - this was a slip of paper in the room where you ticked time and what you wanted. the start time was 0800 I needed to leave by 0730. When I told the staff this they were kind enough to offer a take away bag

Jamie and his staff were fabulous, room was spotless, breakfast wonderful and the food in the pub was exceptional. locals in the pub very friendly. absolutely loved my stay and have booked to return in the summer

Foul mouthed customers, who should have been spoken to. Standard of cleaning was very poor in one area of the room. It was rectified immediately.

The staff were AMAZING.
The food was lovely beyond. 10/10 for the staff and food on offer.
Unfortunately it was blinking freezing and we had to put on multiple layers over our bedclothes during the night as we were shivering. We had an extra heater in the room however, there was unfortunately a cold spell, so it didn’t make much difference and the bathroom was so cold we couldn’t shower as it had zero heating.
Other than that though, you can’t complain and the staff and chef were fabulous.
