Apparently the breakfast bar is good but it is only available from 8am which defeat the purpose - we couldn’t benefit but we’re not compensated for booking rooms with breakfast

There is rubbish everywhere- no spa facilities- old carpets outside the window - old everything on the car park& we were charged for 1 car on the car park Staff isn’t particularly friendly and doesn’t care about the client experience Both our bedroom cards were disabled and we couldn’t re-enter our bedrooms on Saturday

Car parking is very limited, and the front desk lady didn't know much about the town central car park, and the work going on there. Would be good to know in advance dining offers.

THE location of this hotel is good. The staff was friendly. The food was ok, we had burgers. Breakfast was a hot buffet which was also ok.

The decor of the hotel is dated. It generally lacks atmosphere and it is dark, particularly the restaurant. I had asked for a twin room and called the day before our arrival to confirm this but when i arrived it was a double! Also the car park is charged at an extra £9 (not £5 as advertised) which is a bit steep. We saw a dinner offer for £49 advertised so we booked a table for 7pm. The waiter came to fetch us at 6.30pm and asked if we could dine earlier to suit the chef which was fine. when we got to the table and given the set menu, the waiter told us that actually there was no offer on Fridays! the manager gave us 20% off the food bill as a compensation.

The shower did not work in the room. There was a bath though.

The rooms were very poor there was hair on the bathroom floor, the bathroom was disappointing as bath was gross. The spa was a joke!

Softest fluffiest bathtowels ever! Ironingboard in the room was a big plus! We only realised later on during our travels, what a bonus the free parking onsite was.

Plug in bath collapsed into the hole. Had to open it with a teaspoon and keep spoon wedged underneath to allow shower water to drain.

A friendly independent hotel, within walking distance of Salisbury Town centre. There was ample parking with a small charge. A small but nice spa on site was a bonus. The hotel was clean and staff welcoming. The breakfast included with our room price was also good.

It would have been good to have some toiletries. Even though our room looked newly decorated , the bathroom could do with some attention.

Very noisy at times .. can hear others talking so made it difficult to sleep. Room was not cleaned for the duration I was there .. fresh towels was given but floor and bed not cleaned.

Staff were polite and pleasant. Rooms were spacious and with good amenities.

The building is looking tired. There were old plates and crockery in the conservatory in full view. This didn't make a great first impression. I called ahead to the main reception to try and book a spa session and was told to go over when we arrived and book direct at the spa. When we arrived the spa was booked and no space for the full day. We were in a standard double. The bed was hard and very springy. In the early hours there was some very loud noises that seemed to be coming from bathroom pipes.

The breakfast was good, although we paid extra to have it. The best thing about the hotel was the location, car park (£6 per night) and friendly staff. We paid a reduced rate to use the spa and that made up for the dated hotel.

The room was dated and the carpet was drab. The mattress was sagging, old and uncomfortable and had no mattress cover. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet basin properly.
