Such a beautiful old building, the rooms were so spacious, light and airy. They were so beautiful with even a working fireplace laid with logs. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and very good value. We loved our stay, we feel we have discovered a hidden gem.

Location

The room was very small. It was extremely over priced. No WiFi available for the 1st week. The bath handle was very rusty and I cut my hand The corridor light didn't work. The toilet was dirty. The room was poorly cleaned. The mini.um cleaning was done No central heating. A oil fired heater was put in the room. The electricity was off for a few hours. Fire doors were proper open Contractors were working in reception causing dust everywhere. The hotel is run on a shoestring. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Saff mixed, serving staff great, Mangement hopeless. We gave them plenty of notice of items that needed repairs and or replacement. , torn and worn out furniture. Ripped sofas, rusting bathroom fittings, carpets thread bare, lamps shades broken, linens packed hallway, grubby and dusty is an understated. the list was endless. Maybe at a stretch 2 star. I overheard other clients complain. One guest I heard tell the Mangemen it was the worst breakfast he had expirenced. A number of times I was at reception trying to have issues dealt with and overheard guest checking out who were paying a fraction of the the charge we had paid. We living in New Zealand we use Booking.com because being a regular client we should have recived accurate descriptions at best prices, this was not what happened. Management told us the hotel needed a complete refurbishment If the description was close to being accurate we would never have booked it. We have large quantities of pictures of the state the hotel is in.

Staff were very friendly, location is lovely especially the church, the food was great. My thanks to all the staff x

First night of my stay and the fire alarm went off at about 3:40am for a good 6 minutes, horribly loud and couldn’t get back to sleep.

Location and the grounds were great

Bathroom had hair on the floor, the window ledge was dirty and had dead insects. The soap, shampoo, moisturiser containers were mostly empty. very little attention to detail.

Staff are extremely friendly, polite, helpful Excellent customer service

The room was a little dark and the hot water was not very hot, especially if you wanted to have a bath

the property is a lovely building but a little tired in areas, for the price you pay this should be addressed, the staff were excellent I can not fault them at all.

the menu for dinner was very limited and quite bland, I really feel the hotel needs an update, leisure facilities for example.
