The pool area is lovely. The breakfast is excellent. Rooms large and comfortable. Amazing views and good restaurants nearby.

Not the hotels fault, but there are no shops or cafe in the village, so it would be useful to have a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room.

A wonderful family owned hotel with fabulous original features interior decor and gardens. The perfect place to relax in the hills. The staff were really welcoming and helpful.

The hotel oozes charm and character and is a delight. The grounds are lovely, the pool spotless with good quality loungers, and gardens lush and beautifully planted We loved the location, enough tourism to offer a few good places to eat but also felt authentic, lovely walks nearby

We had a 'misunderstanding' with the manager. I was ill and could not make it down in time for breakfast and when my partner went to cancel it he had thought she said I could come down later for a hot drink and some food. But when I asked if I could have hot milk and a little bread she seemed affronted and told me to go out to the local cafe rudely. My partner queried this and was given a pout and a gallic shoulder shrug. I can only imagine I must have said something offensive in French as I was feeling so ill. We had just had some bad news as well so it felt very distressing when otherwise I might just have laughed. Anyway, the hotel is wonderful and I would still recommend.

Beautiful large quiet garden with nice swimming pool (with towels), full of exotic flowers, offering shade and many cosy spots to relax with a book. Nice oldtime atmosphere, interesting history. The place is really charming, with a nice view. Excellent home-made cakes for breakfast and strong coffee. Daily cleaning and change of towels. Parking in a shade. If you appreciate atmosphere, this is a place to go.

Very warm rooms under the roof without airconditioning, fridge or possibility to make tea. Maybe other rooms are different. Hotel restaurant was completely closed to our disappointment, no possibility to buy any drink or any refreshment after breakfast at the hotel, only one bar open in the village during the day. No sound isolation, but that is understandable given the age of the hotel.

- it was noisy, paper thin walls and doors, a construction work near the hotel since early mornings - uncomfortable bed, short and only 140cm wide, hard mattress - for the entire stay (7 days) exactly the same breakfast, some variety would be a great improvement - everything is getting closed at 8pm, no more access to the pool, pillows taken from the chairs, etc. - no cafe or bar in the hotel - plastic cups and small/sample toiletries in the bathroom, not very eco friendly

Small hotel with nice garden and swimming pool. Great restaurant, moderately priced. Excellent location to make your day trips. Wine producer adjacent to the resort. ( excellent wine by the way )

Bedroom was rather small. On the 4th floor ( no elevator, we knew this upfront)
