Its a simple, clean place, perfectly fine for an overnight stay or long weekend if you need to be close to St. Jakobshalle for an event.

you arrive the Sunday and nobody is here, but you have a guy who can help you by phone, if you find the box where your keys are (30 min for me) and who can not really help you even if he is very kind. after, take your room as you can … and the pictures are not representative of the reality. well, bad experience : do not come the Sunday evening. in the week, maybe the feeling and experience must be different.

As we were driving through from the UK to Italy, we just needed an overnight stop off with on site parking. This hotel was in a quiet residential location, with parking. Our room was large and clean, basic in terms of furnishing but for one night it was exactly what we required. Breakfast was very good and set us up for the day ahead, the staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful.

Had we wanted to spend more time sightseeing in Basel, this hotel is probably a little far out. However, its only a short tram ride and we went into the city for dinner very easily. Quite basic, perfect for one night but I don’t think we’d stay longer. There are no reception staff during the weekend which felt a little strange but wasn’t a problem.

Business hotel nearby Basel with excellent price! Great facilities, modern, super comfy bed. Green areas in the hotel make the stay pretty pleasant. Great location if you wanna go to St. Jakob-Park stadium.

Downside is the breakfast: freshness and big variety are lacking (breakfast price is not worthy). Location a bit too far from city center if you are interested in sight-seeing.

We liked the location. Close to highway. 12-15 min by tram to the city center. Tram 5 min distance from the hotel. We liked the comfy beds, very clean.

We arrived on Saturday and the reception doesnt work on weekends. The code provided by the hotel to pick up the key from the box didnt work. We were lucky there was a cleaning lady who helped us. In any case there is a phone number to call in case of such issues.

Rooms are set in lovely grounds and very quiet. Breakfast was all self service with a helpful member of staff around.

Beautiful park-like setting, away from traffic and noise in Basel. We checked in late on a Sunday and no one was at the desk, but we had a code for a key lock box and it worked fine. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with the amenities you expect in a more expensive European hotel. At checkout they give you a chance to roll dice for a free night’s stay…and against all odds, I did! Daniel and his staff were welcoming and accommodating, and our entire experience was very good. Free parking in a small place in front of the hotel. This is a conference center and they have meals available on-site. Just be aware of Swiss prices for food - very expensive all through the country. BTW, “COOP” is a chain of food stores throughout the country. Find a store and get sandwiches and fruit for a cheap lunch or dinner. The hotel will give you a 10% off coupon for groceries at a Coop store.

No complaints about the hotel, but it was kind of hard to find, even with GPS. It is on a quiet residential street, but close to access on the Expressway.

The property has a large garden area, well maintained and closed, which was perfect for my dogs. Car parking facilities are available w/out charge. No extra cost for the cleaning (which is often charged by other properties to those traveling with pets).

After showering, it was a bit difficult to get rid of humidity w/out opening the windows (we stayed in winter). Perhaps stronger ventilation to be considered
