We stayed in this quirky hotel a few years ago so booked it again for an overnight stay on the way to Austria. It’s got it’s own restaurant and is right in the middle of where everything is going on and very busy eating places. We didn’t eat here as it’s Italian run and we wanted more of a traditional German meal. The hotel is good and so was the big room we had with a balcony on the back of the property which was a bonus as we sat out on it in the morning with pastries and coffee which we bought ourselves. I think the price of the hotel was a little high as it didn’t include breakfast which at £15 per person was too much, other hotels opposite this one were the same price with breakfast included. Parking outside the hotel is free from Saturday at 12 midday and Sunday and there is also a few car parks not far from the hotel, about 400 yards, reasonably priced.

Considering the price of the hotel they could have included the breakfast, £15 per person is far too high.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff (they understand the meaning of the word "Hospitality"), room very clean, and we got an upgrade on arrival, which was very much appreciated. Quality of the gastronomy is average though.

The breakfast with 17.50 pp was unfortunately overpriced. Ten euros pp would have been more realistic. If breakfast would not have been this expensive I would have given the hotel a mark 10 for all aspects.

A super nice hotel located in the heart of Saarburg right in front of the waterfall. The hotel has as well an Italian restaurant, we had breakfast and was quite good. All the staff is very friendly and welcoming, we got an upgrade to a room with a balcony and a view to the waterfall, it couldn’t be better. Thank you for this memorable stay! Will definitely book again.

Hotel am Markt is perfectly situated in Saarburg next to the canal near the waterfall. The staff is friendly. The restaurant downstairs is good.

The Wi-Fi was slow, but did work. There is no long term parking near the hotel.

The location is superb, the staff excellent, and the food delicious!

-Staff is super cooperative, nice and welcoming! Thanks. -Beds are better than expected. Pictures on site offer realistic suggestion. -probably one of the better places to stay in the immediate area.

-The shower head is off-center above the floor. Need to stand against the wall to catch the water. -difficult to sleep with noice from the street (late, loud taking folks). No airco as alternative. -coffee!! Why?!?! Should be simple to fix!!

The very best location! Saarburg itself great place to visit with family, on the wine route, with very nice fortress, amazing scenery. Hotel is located at the very centre of Saarburg, directly on the river and waterfall. Staff is very friendly, helped to arrange parking.

We loved the location! The staff at the hotel and restaurant were extremely friendly! Parking is convenient (but at an extra cost). Have dinner at the hotel....pizza and Flammkuchen are delicious!

The room was small and in a separate building. No chairs to sit on except office chair. The buffet breakfast was a bit expensive for what they offered (17.50 per person per day).

Great location..fab staff it was very busy and they worked their socks off...fab food ..good choice and lovely crispy pizzas..good cycling from hotel with cycle lock up.
