Emily at reception provides a lovely warm welcome and you have out of hours access to her incase you need assistance. Great first night stop for the camino de santiago.. Room temperature was perfect for February abundance of hot water, towels and shower gel provided.

Comfortable accommodation. Bit of a walk from the main part of town.

Breakfast not really available although they said it was but they gave us a coffee for free.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, letting us check-in early. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was in the cafe downstairs and was made to order. Location was great for starting a Camino.

It was pretty warm and there was no air conditioning. But at the price, I wouldn't have expected amenities like that.

Not much going on in the area, but that's nothing against the hotel itself. Not sure what folks do in Ferrol if not just stopping through.

A great hotel for the start of the Camino track. The owner loves a chat and is so helpful. He sorted out our Camino passports and gave us some great local recommendations.

Stayed here after long cycle , Julio the owner provided a very safe and secure place for bicycle in the hotel. Great character. Spotless clean in central location and very comfortable beds, Incredible value and a fresh orange juice coffee toast and jam/marmalade to get started in the morning. Recommended.

travelling for work, important for me is a comfortable bed, good shower and stable wifi, Hotel America ticked all boxes.

The room was basic but the beds were suprisingly comfy - very big plus! In my opinion very good value for money.

The breakfast was disappointing: first we were asked what time we'd like to eat breakfast, we said 8, and at 8 we were told food will arrive by 9 - what was the point of asking us then?

Excellent experience. Room was large and comfortable. The staff was extremely courteous, professional, and knowledgeable of Ferrol and where to visit. Thanks to him we visited Castillo de San Felipe which was our favorite stop on our trip up the Galician coastline. The hotel is located just a short easy drive from the city center.

Parking in front of the hotel is hit or miss. Most of the time we had to park one block away. For such a large hotel the staffing is minimal, maybe this will change once the pandemic is over. This is being nit-picky but the rooms could use some updating to reflect contemporary tastes.

Really nice hotel - friendly, helpful staff, large room with good facilities and (apart from strange quotes from Downton Abbey on the wall) nice decor. Great for the price.

You could hear everything from other rooms, but that's pretty normal in hotels. the area is not nice or interesting.
