El alojamiento está cerca del Parque Botero y Parque Berrio donde hay una estación de metro y conecta con todo el transporte público. Nos dijeron que era un lugar peligroso y pues si bien cualquier ciudad lo es a altas horas de la noche, esta zona es muy transitada durante el día. La ubicación es buena y está cercana a varios puntos de interés. El desayuno está bien por el precio y las habitaciones son limpias y el personal se preocupa mucho porque la limpieza se haga día a día.

El servicio de Internet fue deficiente, pero quizás pudo ser el piso en que me encontraba (octavo). Pero si ocupas trabajar asegúrate de tener buena conexión, pues este hotel me quedo debiendo en este servicio.

La ubicación porque literalmente queda a unos pasos de la estación del metro. Tiene una excelente vista tipo postal de la plaza botero y el parque Berrío. El personal es realmente muy amable y atento. Y el desayuno abundante pero es el mismo todos los días.

Es un lugar que se nota que fue lo mejor de lo mejor hace unos años pero hoy en día esta honestamente en decadencia. Si bien sigue siendo cómodo, las instalaciones están algo deterioradas y se nota que hace tiempo no son restauradas. La zona circundante del hotel es algo ruidosa y con presencia de indigencia aunque todo hay que decirlo, se siente segura porque siempre hay presencia de policía.

La cercanía del centro

No cambiaron ropa de cama, no funcionó aire acondicionado, el ambiente en las afueras del hotel pésimo, las condiciones del hotel de regular a mala, nos robaron 300 US$ de la caja fuerte y nos dieron a entender que éramos los mismos huéspedes, pésima atención en ese sentido y pésima vigilancia. Pésima experiencia y no recomendado

The employees in general were very nice! Camila (don't remember her exact name) was very nice in letting us check in earlier as our room was ready which was very nice of her. The beds were great and our room ( 3 beds) was a good size. The water heater worked too well. You barely needed to turn it on for it to already be extremely hot so we were not struggling to get hot water. The breakfast was pretty nice and the breakfast buffet employees were also very charming

The location is straight out of a nightmare. Mega dangerous at night, extremely noisy, behind the hotel the area is FULL of homeless people, drugs, prostitution and trash. Please get a taxi to the hotel as soon as the sun goes down and do not leave the hotel at night. This is not the hotel's fault but please be aware of the situation in the immediate surroundings. When we checked in we left our key in reception to not lose it outside and when we came back at night we asked for it back and the night shift employee just gave it to us without asking for any names or ID which seems like an extremely unsafe practice. When one of the employees led us to our room the air-conditioning didn't work and we informed him this would not be OK he mentioned there was a fan in the room which would certainly not be enough. They only thought about giving us a new room/the room next door when we said this would not be acceptable however we appreciated that they changed our room.

El lugar es cómodo. Al estar cerca a la estación del metro facilita la movilidad en la ciudad para quienes no lleven carro, además, los trayectos usando el metro hacen ganar tiempo para disfrutar de la ciudad.

Que en la noche no pareciera ser segura la ubicación, pero es lógico por tratarse del centro de la ciudad. El desayuno no me pareció tan bueno, la papaya dura y con trozos dañados.

Almost instant hot water. Beds were comfortable (firm). The first day there was a problem with the air-conditioning, almost went crazy because the room got pretty hot, but after it was fixed, it worked great. Staff were friendly. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room before we checked in.

Room and hotel could use a little more maintenance. It's a bit outdated. They could do better with the shower. It has a glass door, but it does little to keep water in. The bathroom floor gets wet. It didn't have a floor towel/mat, so we just used a normal towel as one. Where the restaurants are located in the hotel, they are connected with the street. As a guest, you'll need your keycard to go to the restaurant area's and back, which is good, but... on the street side, anyone can come in. It's especially at night when sketchy people come in. I even saw an addict/homeless person just strolling in there while i was eating. The place is surrounded by addicts, but hey...that's the city center for you. The hotel does it's best so that they don't bother the guests. Don't get me wrong. The hotel doesn't let any of them go to the inside of the hotel self. In my opinion, they should have a little more control on who enters on the restaurants/street side. For security reasons, that is. Wooden flooring was a bit loose at the room entrance. The location is pretty congested/busy. I know the hotel has nothing to do with that, but just keep in mind that your taxi or ride may take a while to get there/get you to places. I know there are people complaining about the breakfast. I didn't get the chance to review that. About the noise that other people complain about....yes there is a metro there. During the day, the people selling their products may use a loudspeaker, etc. I stayed on the 8th floor. I slept just fine. Guess that depends on the person. Noise doesn't bother me. Hotel has the potential to become something better.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, shower was nice, breakfast was good. Large room with big windows. Close to airport bus and subway.

I was asked to change rooms with no notice so repairs could be done to the exterior of the building. This was an ongoing project so they could have given me better notice. The street in front of the building is constantly full of litter and the area is very hazardous, especially at night.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and always liked it. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Rooms are big and clean compared to others in Medellin or Bogota I have stayed recently and before. Good location in the heart of the Centro.

The noise and congestion in the Centro is a plus and minus. Many inexpensive stores in the El Hueco area but very crowded.

Location was great being steps from Plaza Botero, Museum of Antioquia and the Palace but felt sketchy at night. During the day, the area is better.

I thought it was too bad that the neighborhood had become sketchy.

The staff are so gentle and kind. The building architecture is gorgeous and te location is in the middle of the citytown.

Even when the building has anti noise windows the place is very noisy and the bathroom facility are not the best which is a bit upset in such a beautiful historic place.

I loved that the airport shuttle dropped us right behind the hotel. 13 000 COP per person btw and direct from the airport. The room was lovely, breakfast was great and the bed was top notch. Exceptional view.

The noise, we where on one of the highest floors and where still bothered by the noise. Location was smack dab in the middle of el centro so going outwalking around in that area at night was not a good idea . We changed to El Calandria area after 2 nights and it was much safer for us. This is a beautiful old hotel thou!
