I thought the room was excellent. Cleanliness is a lot to me and it exceeded in that. The Host was very delightful and was so helpful. So handy to the main shops.

View from our patio was fantastic and peaceful. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable bed and room.

All rooms have at least a partial view of the water. Some have full view and downstairs rooms have a small patio. There is a stairway out the back down to the water if you want to swim. Continental breakfast (NZ$15) was nearly enough for two people to share. “Kitchenette” was a refrigerator and microwave (no hob). Coin operated laundry on site. Reasonable stroll to ‘the Strand’ where there are lots of restaurants and a visitor information center. Quiet at night. AC worked well and was quiet. Easy 20 minute drive to Mount Maunganui if you want to hike/walk. Maunganui area has a large beach and many many shops and restaurants. It’s close to the cruise port so lots of people if a ship is in port. Parking is not plentiful near Maunganui but we didn’t have to cruise too much before we got a spot.

Pillows were flat and therefore kind of hard. Bed was not to our liking - very soft.
