It's close to everything
The noise from the people above us very noisy and my son left his teddy kangaroo there and it can't be found and it wasn't a small teddy kangaroo either so the cleaners have it and lied to the front desk it is his security teddy

Staff were not friendly. The room was dirty and very poor quality. Run down, poorly maintained, messy surroundings. Terrible.

The location was the only positive that this property had to offer.
I would have to say that this property is the worst I have had the misfortune of staying in. We booked four rooms at this property and were met with Very dirty and out dated rooms. Bedsheets were not clean with remnants from previous guests found in the 'fresh' bed linen, one of the rooms were not serviced between guests (bed unmade and rubbish left from previous occupants)! Smoke alarms in the rooms were hanging from the ceiling with no batteries in sight! We wasted no time in travelling to the closest supermarket to acquire cleaning products to make the rooms to somewhat of a hospitable standard as no other accommodation could be sourced at short notice. Our first morning at the property started with a BANG (literally) as when making a simple toast breakfast the toaster sparked and small flames ensued, followed by a flurry of the local inhabitants of the roach kind! Overall a very poor experience and would not recommend this property for your next stay!

Bedrooms clean and comfortable and we were only there 8 hours.
When we arrived we had to wait for 15 minutes and reception before we got the key. When we got to the room it is extremely small the shower and fan were extremely loud. There was only one spoon tea and coffee were in a grungy paper bag. There was no soap in the hand wash dispenser. I know it was just somewhere to sleep but we still paid over $100 so I would expect to at least be able to have a nice cup of tea in a decent Cup.

The bathroom was covered in mould, the bedding was dirty and smelly, coffee cups and cutlery extremely dirty, room smelt of urine and mould.

Where to start..... the only good thing was the friendly and understanding staff member.
You rock up and park your car only to be met by two rooms occupied by sex workers

Very dusty in the room and power board pushed down the side of the mattress. Wouldn't pass OH&S. People smoking outside my room.

Rooms were dirty, small, full of mould... the site is in a sad state of disrepair, and my first room wasn't cleaned after a previous guest. Absolute horror show. Would not stay here again if you paid me...

It was tidy and clean.
The person next to me was on the phone for hours, then it sounded like someone was doing construction work there, and someone turn a tap on and the sound from that lasted for about a hour. Didn't sleep very at all. Won't be going there again. I ask for a ground floor but they didn't give it to me because I think it's a different price.

Alpine is a lovely old building with lots of character at the front
I got what I paid for. Not complaining because was cheap accommodation. But the wardrobe was broken and the Long mirror fell of th wall and all I worried about was am I going to be blamed and charged for it

The price. it was every bit 'budget'. The location was good, close to main street, shops and restaurants. Staff member was very helpful when smoke alarm went off for no reason.
Well,.. almost everything else.
Room fittings were awkwardly made or incomplete, like a really bad DIY job. Gaps at the edges of the flooring with no trim. A large gap between the wall and the toilet with a loosely fitted cistern made toileting a tense moment. A barn door as the bathroom door which left a sizeable gap.
Holes in the bath towel. Filthy shower curtain. One face cloth which was meant as a hand towel - we think. So much more not to like.

Well...where do I start? From our arrival where the receptionist did not even look up from his computer (must have been a really important game), left us standing for a couple of minutes then finally said "yep?" (did someone mention Basil Fawlty??), our stay went down hill. The room was not clean, the walls were patched with different paint colours, the bathroom was "stale", the Wifi password didn't work properly. First world problems I know but don't expect such "quality" for a weekend away. Never returning!!
