Très bel hôtel particulier, plein de charme. Petit déjeuner copieux et de qualité. L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier très calme à quelques minutes des commerces, restaurants, 8 min des arènes et du musée de la Romanité.

The hotel was located just on the edge of the old town, so only a few minutes walk to the main attractions. It looks quite plain from the outside but once you walk into the reception you see that it's in a beautiful building. The rooms were very modern and very well equipped. The breakfast was very good.
Nothing.

Excellent location for all of Nîmes attractions. Staff were very helpful and would certainly recommend this hotel for a visit to Nîmes. Direct travel by train from Marseille 1hr 10mins. Must visit the food Halles.

A perfectly lovely hotel with a stunning inner courtyard. The hotel is very close to all the main sites and the train station. The hotel has a lovely bar and the staff were professional and welcoming.
The breakfast was quite expensive and although perfectly acceptable could have been better for the money. On one day there wasn't any breakfast despite me being there before the time they claimed to finish service however it wasn't a huge issue for us and I am sure they would have made us something had we asked.

The coffee was hot and strong. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, bread and pastry. Everything was fresh and delicious. The weather allowed us to breakfast each day on the patio in the courtyard, which was extremely pleasant.
This is not Spain, so there was no bidet; otherwise, the bathroom did not disappoint. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Great location close to centre of town.
Terrible lighting in bathroom & when I queried that light on mirror wasn’t working they told me it’d be fixed in September!
Coffee machine was very dirty. This needs to be cleaned properly. We never used it.

Interesting building with modern bedrooms
staff had a typical chain mentality. Particularly rigid on checkin times even though it was clear there were rooms available. jobsworths.

beautiful stair case
It’s a bed and breakfast. Run down street

The facility is a 16th century building, repurposed as a BW property. They did a terrific job without losing the character of the place…though the facade betrays none of the charm within! Breakfast was epic-it almost destroyed my initiative for heading out.
They sure weren’t thinking of easy access back in the 16th century, so not an easy place for the mobility challenged. On balance, the inner courtyard is a marvel. Street noise is random.

Very helpful staff and the parking at Les Halles is a five minute walk away for those of you with your own car. The hotel is also very ventral though on the edge of the old town the arena is only a ten minute walk.
The room was small and the shower head holder wasn't compatible with the head size. Think showering fifteen centimeters from the wall.

A beautiful old building, full of character.

Polite, very friendly and professional reception staff.
Room was large, comfortable and very well maintained.
Breakfast was good.. Baguettes, croissants, cheeses, yoghurts, cakes etc..... only one cereal available though (muesli) I think a hot breakfast was available too..
Hotel was only 250 metres from the start of the olde town shopping streets and the clocktower.
Cleaners cupboard was right outside our hotel room door, so when the cleaner was getting her equipment ready at 7:00am-ish, the noise was loud and echoed through our door.... We didn't intend to awaken at 7am

Marquis de la Baume is a hotel of welcoming smiles. Every member of this hotel's small and very special staff, helped and helped and smiled. We had such a good stay. Everything on the website is true - this is a top of the range four star hotel. The continental breakfast is much more than that ... with hot savoury and every breakfast item was quality. Its location in the centre of Nimes' old city is perfect - a short walk from The Arena, the Temple, the Roman fountain gardens. The central station is on the east edge of old city. The narrow lanes of the old centre, full of independent shops and eateries are worth a visit on their own. We have still to visit the three museums and lots of other offering. There is a Quaker (religious) House in the village of Congenies ... I visited by taxi who waited thirty minutes and brought me back. It was a very reasonable cost. Thank you Nimes, thank you Marquis de la Baume.

A CULTURAL HERITAGE BUILDING WEL PRESERVED
A VERY BAD HEATING SYSTEM. TERRIBLE NOISE OVER NIGHT; COULD NOT SLEEP WELL.
PLEASE, IMPROVE IT!

The reception staff were very friendly, its an old building with impressive stone central staircase. The bed was comfortable.
The toilet was in a room on one side of the room, and the hand basin was in another room on the opposite side of the room, so after using the toilet you had to walk around the bed to the other side bathroom to use the hand basin.
The shower room where the hand basin was located was open without any door.

The room was a bit cold.

Good location, excellent renovation of an old building.
The staircase in the courtyard is great.
Very good position in the center of the city.
Unfortunately the water in the sink didn't work.
Was too late to ask room changement.
We took a shower.

the room was big, the shower worked great, the staff was most welcoming
the location, before you get to the main street, I wouldn't walk around this hotel at night, we didn't feel safe, at least this was the case the night of our stay. also, there is absolutely no parking on site and the closest available is in an underground parking at the shopping center 10 minutes up the street. there is no way to drop your suitcases at the hotel since it's located on a one way street and traffic in the area is not patient even for a man walking with a cane.
