The staff at Blue Shades Motel were really friendly. The process to check in and check out was simple and quick. The room I stayed in was a great size. It was really helpful having a kettle and microwave in the little kitchen area. The bed was quite comfortable. I was in a room right at the back so it was nice and quiet. There were people next door but I couldn't hear them once in the room. The location is very central. Easy to get to grocery stores or shopping centres quickly.

The bathroom has a shower over a small bath so if you struggle stepping up over the edge of the bath just double check what your room will be like. Also the driveway to get between the front and back sections is very narrow. Larger cars do fit but it's a tight squeeze to maneuver into the carparks.

The location was handy with a hotel/restaurant across the road, Aldi within walking distance and several take out food options nearby. We stayed at the weekend so needed these options

No signage for swimming pool. Did it even exist? I know we could have asked if needed it. Wifi wasn't offered at check in but willingly given on request after settling into our room.

Clean apartment. Friendly, helpful staff. Close to Lamington pub for meals and drinks. Close to Maryborough Golf Club where we played golf.

After booking a two bedroom apartment through booking.com and confirming that booking with the management of the motel, on arrival we were shown to an apartment with two rooms, one being a loft with a double and two single beds. The other double bed was in the main downstairs area. As we were two 70+ couples this was not suitable, especially going up and downstairs during the night to use the bathroom. Two bedside lights on the upstairs beds were not working. Although the managers put the air conditioners on prior to our arrival the apartment was still very hot. The upstairs air conditioner was very old and noisy. Exterior of the motel is need of some maintenance especially around the pool.

The Managers moved us to an appropriate room.

Booked standard room ( have stayed 3 times before) in Sept 22, upgraded online to an executive suite Dec 22. The room we got was classed as an executive queen suite according to the lady manager. The only room not yet renovated in the entire complex because it was the only one left i was told. (Not the room pictured in my booking at all). Box air-con that was struggling as it was a humid day, no bench in room, no milk, no water. Waited an hour to get cool, still not cool in room. Was told that's the room you get when you book on Booking.com.

loved the location and the staff where Phenomenal, helped with all my enquiries loved that our family room was huge and that the pool was just outside kids absolutely loved it,

for me personally i didnt like the bed it was to hard for my liking but my husband and kids loved it. there wasnt really much to do, the kids couldnt watch tv up stairs if we were watching it down stairs as u couldnt hear over the other one.
