Snorkeling around the jetty was excellent! Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly.
We had been to Sunscape ~9 years ago, and I remembered it to be pretty nice. This time it was different, especially the service and logistics around meals. It was difficult to get a table at any of the restaurants (especially for dinner) because of long lines, and the seating process seemed disorganized. There was no water at the buffet for breakfast, and it was nearly impossible to get any drinks with dinner at the World Cafe. The World Cafe could also benefit from some airflow, maybe ceiling fans, as it was poorly ventilated considering that it is basically an outdoor place. And there were always long (and slow) lines at the bars.
Also, our room was not ready at the expected check-in time, so we had to wait for another 45 min while the room was "almost ready". And there was not enough seating with shade (umbrellas or trees) at the beach.

Das Hotel liegt an einem sehr schönen privaten Strandabschnitt mit kristallklarem Wasser und unzähligen Fischen (sehr gut zum Schnorcheln). Das Animationsteam ist hervorragend, sehr bemüht und immer freundlich. Besonders hervorzuheben sind Pedro, Victor und Crazy-G sowie Marvett, welche eine ruhige Person und vielleicht nicht so extrovertiert, aber die gute Seele im Team ist und wir sie nicht hätten missen wollen. Marvett ist sehr kinderfreundlich und eine wichtige Stütze für das ganze Animationsteam.
Auch in den Restaurants gibt es wirklich tolle und motivierte Mitarbeiter wie Rug (Bluewater) und Amadu (World Cafe - Buffet Restaurant).
Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, der neue General Manager ist aber gerade dabei vieles zu erneuern, adaptieren und renovieren (z.B.: wurde das Buffet-Restaurant während unseres Aufenthaltes renoviert und kann sich nun wirklich sehen lassen - es entspricht nun dem Stand von 2024 ;-))
Die Demotivation mancher Mitarbeiter ist deutlich an deren Gesichtern abzulesen. Das Service war oft sehr träge und langsam. Die Hotel-App ist modern und wirkt sehr professionell, jedoch dürfte diese nicht gewartet werden, da unzuverlässig im Bezug auf Öffnungszeiten der Restaurants, sowie Aktivitäten und Housekeeping.

Instalações muito antigas, esperava mais do resort. Banheiro com cortina de plástico, molha por toda parte, inaceitável para um hotel deste nivel. Por 2 dias meu banheiro inundou e não havia ralo para escoar a água. Não espere um all inclusive como em Punta cana... não há como reservar restaurantes e vc precisa enfrentar uma fila para entrar. Os alimentos do self-service não tem identificação, ou seja pessoas que tem restrições alimentares muitas vezes não sabem que alimento é aquele. Não há comida a vontade durante o dia. A funcionária do coco café nos atendeu com muito descaso, ficamos muito sem jeito até para pedir um café.

Quarto grande, tinha apresentações legais academia era ótima tinha vários aparelhos de abdominais. Onde serviam comida asiática o chef era ótimo, e no restaurante que serviam tacos tb era bom, atendente bem atenciosa.
Quarto tinha um cheiro muito desagradável, parecia de esgoto, e também tinha muito barulho nosso quarto ficou virado pro lado das festas,ficamos sem luz em uma das noites, o quarto ficou muito quente,tivemos que trocar de quarto, pra dormir o resto da noite. A minha expectativa era bem maior, do que realmente foi. O restaurante do cafe da manhã era muito mal organizado, não tinha talheres suficientes, tinha que ficar esperando, achei que poderia ser mais limpo, tinha um cheiro muito desagradável. Outros restaurantes a comida era boa. Bebida era quente, só tinha um tipo de cerveja. E não tinha cadeiras de praia pra acomodar todos hospedes, nem guarda sol. Atendimento no bar perto das piscinas era ruim

Good location for Curacao , perfect snorkeling inside the resort good beach , close to historical center.
Old resort, old plumbing. The staff is polite but does nothing when you ask them for something. Each of the 5 days of our stay, we asked to fix a badly working A/C or provide another room - nothing was achieved. Dinner at the restaurant you have to wait about 1 hour in line, the choice is very small, the dishes are at the fast food level and were served cold.
We selected Sun Club preference level room with ocean view , but did not get any ocean view from our room.

The neighbourhood is extremely loud, sometimes until deep into the night - we had to call the police.
The ocean view rooms have almost no view of the ocean - just save yourself some money.

The friendly staff are the only thing keeping this place from completely falling apart and they all derserve huge $$$ raises... especially at the main bar and restaurants.
High powered toilets were aces after the questionable buffet.
The staff are clearly overworked and underpaid... everyone is so nice but very noticeably burnt out.
Trying to get small change at the resort was difficult... which was annoying considering we literally just wanted to be able to tip the staff.
Constant excessive noise from resort Dj's and other nearby nightclubs day or night. Not restful or relaxing.

Bland almost inedible buffet, seriously some of the worst food we've ever had. Only Oceana & DaMario were consistently decent meals but took an eternity.
Beach facilities 4/10
Almost never any beach chairs available. Everyone abandons beach towels to try reserve seats and just never returns, just not enough room for so many people. Rentals snorkel/flippers/equipment alot more expensive than they should be. Rent equipment outside of resort for day trips.
Also book day trips outside of resort to avoid overpaying.

We had to constantly ask for everything. Water, coffee/milks, minifridge stock were not automatic, we had to call concierge everyday.
Had to ask mutliple times for new sheets as ours were slightly blood stained and all shreded when we arrived. Shower was never cleaned, we dated the fog in the glass when we arrived and was still there when we left... wear slides everywhere.
Nothing was upto par for a place that fronts as a 4 star... Maybe 2.5 star quality. No 24 hour food access available with AI package. Go elsewhere for the price.

1) The beach area, and views from our room was beautiful. The beach area was clean and comfortable, and there were ample chairs for use by guests.
2) The nightly entertainment was excellent! I do wish there was more entertainment available for the people that stayed up late.
3) The spa was amazing, very relaxing and the aestheticians were very knowledgeable. The waiting area in itself added to the experience, with a wide range of teas. The receptionist, Julmarie, was very pleasant and a pleasure to deal with.
4) The VIP and concierge staff were very helpful and were able to guide my friend and I, to the right spots and answered all our questions about getting around.
5) Daniele from the bell staff, was very helpful and assisted us with getting taxis and providing advice.
6) Overall layout and ambiance of the hotel was good.

1) My check-in experience was horrible. Dealing with the front desk was terrible. The staff need serious retraining on customer service. When my friend and I got to the hotel, after a long flight, the first room we were assigned, had no working lights. The second room (replacement room) was far away on the property, had a moldy smell, and much smaller than what we booked. The third room we got, was decent, but it wasn't the room we paid for. We were put in this room for the night, until we could be given our designated room the next day. When we finally got a proper room the NEXT day, we were told that as compensation, we would get a suite. NO! we did not get a suite. It was identical to the first room we were assigned. The front desk staff were not pleasant, didn't offer any solutions or compensation for the room, because that isn't what we paid for.
2) The food and drinks were mediocre. Even in the sit down restaurants. I was very disappointed in the level of food. Imagine that there were omelettes in warmers. I would also recommend you make reservations for the Japanese restaurant, if interested, as soon as 1pm hits, or else you won't get a space.
3) If you're someone that enjoys a comfortable hotel bed, trust me, you will not get it here. Bedding could do with some improvement
4) Housekeeping was a waste. The did not sweep out the rooms, so it was dusty, forgot to give us towels, and we only got towels after making a request 3 times.

Everything was amazing! I still dont understand the people who complained a lot in other comments. The food was delicious, all staff was so kind and patient with us. We had all food and drinks that we want. The hotel offers crafts and safe tours!! We enjoyed the island and also the hotel. Thanks! I really recommended.
The staffs speaks english and spanish and smile all the time. The asian food was good and thr italian was delicious.

food was horrible. getting to a restaurant or a beach towel was like winning a lottery. housekeeping was awful, you never know when or if you’ll get towels and your room cleaned. constantly have to ask for shampoo.

I loved the staff at the hotel. It was extremely kind, helpful, and entertaining. The staff at the reception was especially helpful (Charlie). The waiting staff at the beach grill was amazing where I had all my meals, even though the staff at other restaurants at the resort was also very kind and helpful. The beach was superb with turquoise waters, fine white sand, and kayaking, snorkeling, and paddle boarding available for free to guests. The food was a bit bland to my taste considering that it was in the Caribbean (would have preferred a bit spicy options) but perhaps they were catering more to Dutch tourists. The entertainment team was amazing, the energy of the young people that they put in to entertain guests is just great.
I stayed in the Royal Tower on the east side of the resort in the room that was facing Mambo beach. The room was very noisy especially on Sundays and Wednesdays until 3 AM when there are huge parties on Cabana and Mambo beach. If you stay in a room that faces Mambo beach, be ready to stay awake until 3 AM. Ask for a room that does not face Mambo beach if you want to sleep at night. Unfortunately, the hotel did not fulfill my ask to stay in a quiet room, so this is the only negative.
