Friendly staff greeted us and gave us great recommendations. We had a beautiful view from our window, a clean, spacious room, and we felt very happy with where we had booked. Massively recommend.

Friendly warm welcome. Secluded and peaceful property. Beautiful comfortable room. Hosts very knowledgable on local area and Dan even took me on an impromtu motorbike ride on roads I wouldn't have known about.

The Wayside was absolutely beautiful! Emiko and doreen could not do enough for you. The rooms/place and location was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay that much we are already planning on returning next year. The food was 10/10 and the whisky barn i think was my partners favourite trying different ones and emikos knowledge on whisky made it even better. If your looking a relaxing stay and a great view i would not hesitate to book

We had a fantastic stay in the beautiful B&B. Emiko and the rest of the staff team made us so welcome. The food was delicious and the room was lovely. The B&B is so well cared for, it’s a really great place to stay in a stunning location. We would highly recommend staying here.

Location was ideal for our stay close to Haverigg mx track Breakfast and Dinner were excellent great produce and well cooked. Beautiful views and staff were amazing nothing to much trouble. Room was great and loved all the little extras in the room.

I loved this place the bedrooms are lovely but one thing was missing, a comfy chair to sit on in the bedroom, especially if you have old bones like me.

Couldn’t fault it!

The Wayside and Whisky Barn was truly an amazing find. It is immaculate throughout and a welcoming atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. The room was tastefully presented, comfortable and relaxing. Emiko is the perfect host, friendly and welcoming with knowledge of the Lakes. Breakfast was very good too. We will definitely return hopefully very soon.

A fresh bottle of water was left in the room every day which was very nice however, when returning after a long day it was invariably warm. Maybe a cooler or something would be helpful.

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay at the Wayside & Whisky Barn. Emiko was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and very spacious. Food was great, and the bar was so relaxing after a long day. We look forward to returning in the future.

everything was absolutely perfect the food, room & the welcome you receive. I’d recommend trying out the whisky whilst there. The owners knowledge enabled me to try & enjoy whisky for the first time at the age of 52. There are also some lovely walks right on the doorstep.

The property was in a lovely scenic, quiet location, it was a lovely room with amazing attention to detail, the staff/ owners were amazing, really friendly, kind and knowledgeable and made you feel extremely welcome, they were attentive, I would definitely recommend this place. Everything was perfect. From beginning to end Emiko gave us a very warm welcome. The place is fantastic and has gorgeous views. We loved that in order to keep the place clean we were ask to take off the shoes. Somehow it makes you feel like home. The room es very cozy, warm and well equipped. We had the chance to try some food, and it was delicous. Both dinner and breakfast. My partner is a whisky lover, and had a wonderful time at the whisky barn. Emiko explained all the different options and recommended him. We did not want to go at all! Totally recommend!

The weather was better than expected so can’t complain.

The room we stayed in was beautiful, the bedding so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning! Both breakfast and the dinners we had there were phenomenal and the bar area was the best place to sit and chill. Our host Emiko was amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and that we got most out of our time in the lakes- we will definitely be back!
