the view from the bedroom porch is wonderful. the staff on duty was friendly and sympathetic, if unhelpful. Beds and pillows were reasonably comfortable, although bedding was of low quality. Heating worked and the room was warm at night.

We (3 adults) reserved a 75 m2 house ¨all on one level¨ with a dining table for six, a queen bed and 3 sofa beds, and a large patio with a dining table. I sent a messaged to confirm the reservation and number of guests one week prior and it was confirmed. (See vacation home on their website) However... On arrival we were given a 45 m2 apartment up a narrow stairway that was dangerous for my senior companions. There was a small bar for a dining table that barely fit 3 plates and a folding table there was no room for. There were two twin beds and one sofa bed (large enough for a child or small person) There was a very small balcony with a tiny table and two chairs off the bedroom. In addition, there was no lock from the inside on the apartment door, so the downstairs apartment always had access if we were home, and if the downstairs people left the exterior door unlocked (which they often did) there was no security when we were there. The oven did not work, there were few kitchen utensils, and the calefont continually smelled of gas. Be forwarned that there actually is no ¨vacation home¨, but a house that has been subdivided into 2 apartments. The desk clerk apologized, and when he looked at the booking acknowledged we had rented the larger downstairs apt., but said there was no recourse (and no manager working during our stay). We were then told Booking was at fault for entering a wrong description. We were later told the property could give us any room it wanted to after we booked if it was similar (obviously this was not ¨similar¨). Booking´s response "We've been in contact with Complejo Puerto Malén Club de Montaña and they've confirmed they were able to properly accommodate you. Unfortunately, after your checkout date, there is little we can do to help you find a suitable solution as we cannot work further with the accommodation to assist you.

Very nice and big room with a view, comfortable beds, the shower had great pressure and there was a spa bath tube Super friendly staff that greeted you with a smile every day and did everything to make our stay as good as possible,, great Argentinian breakfast . Don't forget to ask the reception about the great traditional indigenous Mapuche restaurant , a very nice experience !

We stayed at one of the cabins with a spectacular view from the deck. Have everything you need including kitchen, parrilla and a pool. Villa Pehuenia is very relaxed in the middle of nowhere with few tourists. Lovely stay.

Not much to complain about here. If your not an Argentinian resident you need to remember that you should not pay the extra 21% VAT. Few Argentinians will mention this.
