Good size room and friendly service and staff. Staff doing a great job for being under staffed.

Steak for the price very poor and not tender at all. No facility to make tea or coffee in the room. A cheap hotel would give you this.

The perfect romantic weekend getaway

The room was lovely as was the bathroom. Very comfortable. The parador is very old and it was interesting to learn of it’s history. The library was very impressive, There was a leisure centre and a swimming pool but we didn’t make use of those.

The breakfast for 18€ per person was so overpriced and certainly nothing like as good as we enjoyed elsewhere in Spain & Portugal. The atmosphere was more like a busy cafeteria, service was very rushed, we were given incorrect dishes , not at all pleasant or relaxed. Having had one bad breakfast experience we didn’t eat our evening meals in the hotel. The drinks at the hotel bar were very expensive, more atmosphere at the little local bar & much cheaper too!

The space, design and decor of the room was wonderful. Lovely spa with small pool. Fantastic breakfast with the most amazing cheesecake. Really luxurious parador.

The lighting in the room was not very easy as dimmed for ages before switching off and seemed to be delayed.

Very big room and bathroom. Indoor swimming pool. Nice historic building with free tour. Incredible breakfast, although I'm not sure we understand the same thing for "eggs benedict". Big indoor and outdoor parking for free. The restaurant is very good.

The hotel is beautiful, with a very peaceful quadrangle. The rooms are large and spacious. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean and modern. Breakfast was plentiful in lovely surroundings.

Nothing to dislike

The ambience was very calming. Staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was cleaned everyday to a very high standard. The location wasa bit out of town but the local taxi service was easy to access and good value. Enjoyed my stay very much.

An amazing building - fascinating to walk around and explore eg the chapel and library. Everything had been renovated to the highest possible standard. Our room was vast and well laid out. The corridors were very spacious - giving a calm air to the place. The breakfast was extremely good. The bar snacks and drinks in the evening were surprisingly cheap eg a very good portion of smoked salmon + mashed avocado with 2 toasts for €8 with a glass of house wine costing €3 - €3.50. The parking was easy and free. Not the cheapest hotel one could find in Spain BUT nevertheless, for the quality and unique experience, it struck us as being of excellent value.

nothing - but the surrounding towns are somewhat functional ie this hotel would be good as a base for exploring the region if one had a car but may not work so well if one spent many days on end in and around the hotel.

Beautiful building - an old monastery with 365 wonderful rooms and huge and landings. Very comfortable bed and large bathroom with two sinks .Each room has a chair or a pair of clogs outside it. Spacious, stylish and comfortable . Lovely indoor swimming pool and spa and all the staff were very welcoming. Dinner was exceptional in a gorgeous dining room as was breakfast.

The bar area is a little municipal and lacking in atmosphere but a minor point.

It was on our route from central Portugal to the Western Picos. Put simply, a lovely place to stay! We will be back.

An excellent overall experience. The food is exceptional, and the ambience is wonderful. Nice big room with beautiful view. Spotlessly clean. Gets my highest ratings. Wish the stay had been longer -- the hiking looks great.

Driving there after dark. Otherwise there is nothing not to like.
