The photos don’t do it justice: this is an immaculate and beautifully appointed hotel in the style of a French country home. The rooms have post & beam ceilings and many artful details that show the great care taken to decorate this renovated farmhouse, with the B&B area on the upper floors above a popular restaurant. BTW, the dinner we enjoyed at the restaurant was ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ and the server outstanding. Comfortable, warm, strong showers, peaceful. Free parking in the restaurant’s lot was much appreciated.

The building and its location are beautiful, but what makes this place exceptional are the genuine kindness and helpfulness of the staff, especially Massimo and William. We felt very welcome and well looked after. Amazing food in the lovely restaurant, too - we had dinner there twice during our three-night stay. And the breakfast (included in the price) was plentiful, tasty, and satisfying. It even included savoury options (cheese and cold cuts) - a rarity in Italy!

Our single beds (two friends travelling together) were rather narrow, but it was fine. Also, sometimes conversations or whistling from the kitchen downstairs could be heard in our room. Even though not perfectly quiet, it kind of added to the atmosphere of the place.

Everyone who works at this family run hotel and restaurant made us feel like we were part of the Osteria Marascia family too. They gave us the warmest welcome and hospitality. The room was sparkling clean and perfect for us, the restaurant was exquisite, we love the location for being so peaceful and could easily venture into the nearby town, Lecco and Bergamo for more people and opportunities. I can't recommend this hotel and restaurant enough, for friends, couples, for families and for solo travelers. It's a wonderful find.

Fantastic place, lovely rooms and great food

The continental breakfast was very good; fresh pastries, charcuterie, coffee, OJ, yogurt, etc. The property itself is charming. The bed was comfortable.

The website said there was a kettle in the room but there wasn't. We paid to "upgrade" to a room with a balcony but there were no chairs on the balcony, so it wasn't worth the upcharge.The location isn't great, it's totally safe, but there's not much nearby. We didn't have a car which made it a little difficult.

Thin walls but that’s because it’s an old style property. Hoped for omelettes for breakfast as we don’t eat meat. however, this is not a complaint! We would come again!

The building, an old stone house with wood roof is amazing. The rooms was very spacious and pleasant. The restaurant served some of the most amazing food we had in Italy and the staff was super friendly and helpful!

Beautiful little hotel, impeccably clean and welcoming. Staff were amazing and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Had our evening meal in the restaurant which was first class. Would definitely return and highly recommend. A hidden gem, thankyou!

Parking, tiny balcony/terrace, outdoor garden area is very tranquil. You have to try the restaurant!

Air conditioning unit is a tad confusing but worth it once you figure it out! Bathroom quite small.

A great historical building located in a quiet area. The hosts were very accommodating and the evening meal was superb.

It's located 15 mins walk from train station, really good starting point to Como Lake. In one day we visited Varenna, Bellagio and a bit of Lecco and ot was enough time. Room was clean and cosy, personel kind and helpful and breakfast was tasty, served to the table: coffee, juice, yogurth, italian hams, cheeses, pastries. Worth mentioning is excellent service in the restaurant. As people working in the industry we appreciated experiencing such a high standard. If you're in the area it's definitely worth visiting for a dinner.

The staff was very friendly and we felt very welcome when we arrived. The place was wonderful and we loved the rustic vibe. The room was also very comfortable. We ate dinner in their restaurant and had a wonderful meal! The food and service was very good. The breakfast included was good too. They had a private parking free of charge.

My friends and I ate in the hotel restaurant, The service the food the setting was exceptional. The staff were extremely friendly & polite. What a beautiful building to spend an overnight stay. There was secure undercover parking for our motorcycles. The hotel is situated along side the river which feeds into the lake. 100% recommended. will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the area.

It was such a unique stay and everything was perfect about it. The atmosphere, room, staff, food and location were all stunning. We booked dinner in their restaurant on arrival and the dinner was absolutely unforgettable. The menu was very place specific and based also on local ingredients. The taste of my pasta will stay in my memory for long! My husband said the same about his dish. We also ordered desserts and the entire dinner experience was around €65-70 euros for a two course meal with drinks. This place was spotless and charming. We would like to particularly praise the waiter who was exceptionally kind and tactful. Such a member of staff is simply a rarity and surely is a treasure to this place.

There was a lot of mosquitos around and we got invaded by them in the first 10 minutes of our evening meal (outside sitting area) but luckily the restaurant had a mosquito repellent spray available for the guests which worked perfectly! I would advise to use it right away.

Two very minor things: sound isolation is not the best, but the building itself is old so it is understandable and was not an issue at all. It has steep steps, so could be not easy to get all the stuff (if you have big luggage) to top floors, but again you need to do it only on arrival and departure
