This is a hotel in an old house, trying to preserve and exploit the charm of old Austrian style, but doing this only partly. In one of the rooms I stayed the shower was directly in the room separated just by a glass wall. The sink was directly in the room. The rooms with the lake view feature a terrific view on Traun See. Facing east-south, it makes them very hot in summer.

Without a car it is very difficult to be mobile in Altmunster.

Fantastic view from the room! Room was very spacious, cozy, felt soon like home away from home. We could store our paddle boards in the garage, the access to the lake was great - just few steps away. We absolutely loved the breakfast in the garden overlooking lake and tennis courts. Fresh fruit salad every morning and overall a nice selection of everything.

The seating on the balcony could be more comfortable. We also missed a water kettle heater to make tea and a small fridge (but were allowed to use the one downstairs, so that was fine:)

Very lovely and generous hosts. Beautifully decorated vintage home with great views. Excellent breakfast.

The internet speed and coverage was not great

Excellent location close to the lake.

Staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help whenever they could.

The restaurant has excellent food. The staff was very helpful, even driving us to the local train station. Overall a really fine place to stay.
