Fabulous central location, surrounded by independent shops, High Street brands, art galleries, restaurants from fine dining to take aways, traditional Cornish pubs to harbour-side cocktail bars not to mention a few minutes walk to golden immaculately clean beaches and clear blue sea. St Ives is Bliss! The hospitality is 100%, Western's staff were all lovely, warm and welcoming. Our room was bright and clean. The breakfast was plentiful, lots of choice. Excellent public transport, I would definitely consider leaving the car at home next time.

We would 100% rebook this hotel, though with such a fabulous central location comes a level of expected compromise. Parking is limited. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs, or expect an early morning wake with the humdrum of activity with deliveries and refuse collections servicing local businesses, not to mention the sea gulls! Removing the flags attached to the front of the hotel. I know, it's baa humbug, from the street they look fabulous, flapping in the sea breeze . . . from a noise perspective, a constant nuisance. Installing permanent sustainable refill dispensers would be a positive swap for toiletries and condiments, less single use packaging waste. A breakfast menu card visible in the bedroom or on the table would be super helpful.

I liked that it was in the centre of st Ives and near the station so it was a 5 minute walk to get there. The room was nice and clean and comfy, breakfast was great and the staff were friendly.

Everything excellent, except due to rail strike we lost the fourth day as we had to leave a day early. GWR refused to pay compensation for the day we had paid for.

The room was really clean and had everything you could want. The staff cooking and serving breakfast were really friendly and the breakfast it's self was lovely. Also the housekeeping staff did a great job. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money

We had a great stay at The Western. The staff were very friendly, good breakfast and can't beat the location. We hope to visit again soon!

We were let down last minute by airbnb and were rescued by The Western! Staff were helpful and welcoming and the breakfast options were fantastic. Lovely hotel, great value for money, we were given a room upgrade (thank you!)
