Next door to a great pub and delicious homemade food at their restaurant. Conveniently located to Parkes and surrounds.
The noise from the pub was loud, the parking was sometimes tricky due to the pub and the room was small with a TV that gave you a crook neck because it was so small and placed up so high.

Convenient central location.
First to order dinner in the bistro. After 5 tables meals arrived, 35 minutes later I had to ask where was my simple to make dinner. 2 mins later I had my dinner.

location was excellent and a stone's throw from town. Having the pub and bistro on site was a bonus. The food is excellent - huge servings, so do go there hungry!!
The room was clean and tidy, and the bed and pillows comfy - plenty of coffee, tea and milk (yay!!)

Very friendly staff and exactly what I expected for the low cost. Very clean and secure facilities, close to cafes and central Parkes
Perhaps a sign in the car park or a bigger one in reception door that check in is in the front bar after hours. The sign that is there is only readable if you're already at the reception door

Food and room were fine
Beds were abysmal. Springs poked up through top of mattress. Even 2 quilts were not able to prevent them poking into you. Very uncomfortable sleep, what sleep you could get.

the accommodation was very good , comfortable , clean and quiet. Enjoyed the stay. We spent five weeks travelling to Hervey Bay ,then down the coast to Narooma. We both agreed that Parkes was the best town we went to on the whole trip. The town is a credit to the council and residents .Every where walked from the hotel down to the war memorial ,through the park and around the town we were impressed by the tidy and well kept buildings ,streets and public areas .
We had Dinner at the the Coachman Hotel and that was very good as.
We will recommend the stay and the town of Parkes to anyone who is going that way.
