Very clean and well kept. Right on the ocean but in a quiet area of the island. Waking up every morning listening to the waves was amazing. We enjoyed the ocean view even more at sunset. Lotte, Denise and Debbie are very friendly and made us feel right at home.

The property is located outside the city with direct access to the sea. There is a very small public beach available. It was never overcrowded, though it is a stone beach with little place for laying down. The sea view studio had a beautiful terrace with wonderful sea sights. Lots of beautiful birds come around and sing. We rented a car (with the property) and travelled around the island to various beaches and places of interest. We also used it to reach supermarkets in the area. This is a perfect place if you prefer a quiet, relaxing spot. The amenities are not top notch but they are sufficient. Wifi was good. The pictures on the site were accurate,

This is not a negative but it would help if there were mosquito nets installed, as mosquitoes are plenty in the evening and I seemed to attract most of them, despite using strong repellent :-).

Great located, great people and an extremely nice snorkeling side right in front of the door.

the house is just by the beach! it has a nice kitchen with all that we needed and hot shower. our view was amazing (we got the room with sea view). for the staff, I don’t even have words: the girls are fantastic and super helpful. without them our stay wouldn’t be the same.

they were renovating the place (but nothing that bothered us at all!) - but some places were a little old.

Awesome place in front of the beach, a great and quiet place for relaxing, work and share with family. Near to everything by car, easy access to some other beaches and Willemstad. 5 mins to the market. Lotte and Ralph were always happy to make sure that our stay was more than awesome!

Perfect location to start a road trip around the most beautiful beaches. Close to the airport too. Lotte was really friendly with us. I would really recommend this place to stay in Curaçao.

the view from our apartments were breathtaking! the house is also supplied with every possible necessity - from kitchen equipment to cutlery to even spices. the owners were very lovely and always ready to help - even picked us up from the airport free of charge!

furniture/bathroom was a bit outdated, but they noted numerous times they are in process of renovations.

Very large apartment made it comfortable for five adults. Loved being on the beach, hearing the waves.

The towel racks in the bathroom were broken. When you turn the shower on,it sprays right out of the shower onto the floor. There were mouse droppings the first time I used the dish rack.

Waterside is simply incredible, the most dushi spot on the island. Managers are extremely kind, thank you for everything! The view is way more spectacular than in the photos.

Such a gorgeous spot right on the water centrally located between the city and the beaches west end. Tine was the very BEST to work with and communicate with during our stay.

we had a great 5 night stay here. the view is outstanding - watching the sunset from the terrace is just wow! the property is located right by a small beach (perfect for morning and evening dips!). The room is quite ‘simple’, spacious and has a more or or less fully equipped kitchen and bbq. The owner is lovely! The area is nice, not touristy, safe and at the same time very close to the city by car (you need a car!) there are two restaurants and supermarket within walking distance. Definitely recommend to spend a few nights of your stay here!!

Lovely quite place. There is a small beach right next to it that feels like private, snorkeling is possible, pelicans can be spotted. Relatively silent air conditioners.

Location was perfect.

Everything- the apartment, location and Tine is a brilliant host. From Airport transfer and initial pre-arrival grocery shopping to tips on local stuff, she is always available and helpful. The property could not be more well positioned amazing views, beach access, quiet, comfortable. Loved everything and cannot think of a better place to stay on this beautiful island.

Place was amazing! I loved the view and the fact that locals were coming to this little beach. Imagine - i woke up 5 am due to jet lag - i am going to my terrace and see people swimming.. smoking cigars and meditating.... It gave me real experience:) Host is FANTASTIC! Everything you need is close by. Village offers 3 place to eat + we were lucky enough to inaugurate with local people their first plein-air concert - of course in Papiamento language! Place also offers parking lot and shower after sea bath. What I can say! I need to come back!

All was really amazing. If I need to point something out... it would be the fact that pots were very used (important only if you want to cook there). Oh and there is something else - there are ants on terrace/ balcony - but i guess its everywhere.... so if you like to eat late on terrace/ balcony take some specific to coupe with them ;) Or probably ask the Host- she will definitely help you with both things!

Appliances in apartment could be a bit updated but not big deal! Overall very comfortable space!

The studio itself was spacious. It is located on a small public beach, not too far from the airport.

1) The main view of this room and terrace is the public parking lot and a partial ocean view. The parking lot gets pretty crowded on the weekend and evening if you like; privacy is not the room to consider. 2) Host dogs tend to bark during the night; if you light sleeper, it will be hard to have a good night's sleep. 3) At least in my case, the host was not very helpful or pleasant. My check-in was a bit of a disaster. 3) For this location you must have a car, no walking distance restaurants.

Tine was absolutely wonderful and arranged a rental car, dive tank rental, and airport transport. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, suggested dive sites, restaurants, etc. Even at the beginning, we felt like family and by the end of our time here we are already planning our next trip. We stayed in the studio apartment which had everything needed for two people. The location is more rural and quiet which is what we wanted but still a convenient 10-min drive from the grocery store and restaurants. There is also a restaurant within walking distance. The diving and snorkeling at the house reef (Snake Bay) was very enjoyable.

Having the ocean nearby was great for a swim at any time of the day. You can watch the sunset over the horizon. Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic facilities included in the apartment including stove, microwave and cooking utensils. There’s a mini supermarket about 15 minutes walk nearby. If you enjoy hiking, the flamingo sanctuary is about an hour walk near the property. You can also hike to Kokomo beach.

It would have been good to have some basic things in the kitchen for cooking like oil, salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar etc. There’s not much around in terms of restaurants/bars. If you are planning to stay here long term, it’s best to get a car.

Smileys Apartment is a charming house in a beautiful garden, clean and with a holiday flavor, close to the shopping center. The unique Kokomo beach is nearby. You can easily reach the capital as well as the more unspoiled part of the island Owner friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the neighbor, wonderful Willy parrot in the small house, We absolutely recommend the place.
