Vintage Cabin w/ Dock, Boat Lift & Beach on Small Point in Big Bay
Existant depuis le début des années 1930, le Westhaven Lodge et ses chalets ont l'un des emplacements de choix sur le côté sud de Big Bay of Lake Vermilion. La cabine 1 a son propre point avec un foyer, un quai et un ascenseur à bateaux, et elle partage une plage avec le lodge principal.

La cabine de 650 pieds carrés a une chambre avec un lit queen, une autre chambre avec un lit superposé et des lits jumeaux, et les canapés-lits de la salle familiale peuvent facilement accueillir deux personnes de plus. Il est entièrement fini avec un intérieur en pin et dispose d'une cheminée en granit. Les animaux domestiques sont admis et une grande terrasse longe toute la façade (au bord du lac) de la cabine. TV satellite et Wi-Fi également disponibles. Parce que le soleil se lève et se couche si loin au nord en été, le point est idéal pour regarder les deux - il suffit de se lever tard et de se lever tôt!

We had an amazing time at Westhaven Lodge! The accommodations were perfect for our family and we had everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and so fun to explore. Hopefully we get a chance to stay again!

Good location, dock and swimming area. Interior is very rustic and needs a deep clean and some TLC. Kitchen utensils/supplies are basic and required washing before use. Could use updated bath towels, carpet, window and door screens and functional smoke detectors. Nice to have dog friendly option. Wifi worked well, good TV streaming options for bad weather. Note that the lounge chairs and beach toys are at the lodge next door and shared.

We stayed 5 nights, and had a great time. Everything we needed was at the cabin, it was a blessing our dog could come with us. The location is great, the cabin is very close to Lake Vermilion State Park and Bearhead State Park. Would recommend

Great location, afternoon shade with a nice view of the lake. Very clean and comfortable cabin. My only complaint was that the boat lift was not properly leveled and there was no locking device on it. In a high wind the stern of my boat was not able to get all the way out of the water and there was risk of it getting damaged. I ended up taking it out of the water for the one day we had really high winds. Level it out and there'll be no complaints as we intend to rent it next year too.

3 adults and a large teenager were a rather tight fit for the cabin since we are used to staying at a 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin, but the place was exactly as advertised. It is a very cute cabin with loads of character…. Fireplace and very cute old windows. We had great weather and spent most of our time on a rented pontoon but the cabin would be great for watching movies.

Everything was as expected. Basic cabin with everything we needed. Very clean! Beautiful scenery! The only thing bad thing… the mosquitoes! Not sure how the were getting into the cabin.

the first thing we noticed was the smell. The cabin smelled tired, used, old cigarette, We opened as many windows as possible which helped some. I sat down on one of two couches/hide a beds and sunk down almost to the floor. same on the 2nd. I have seen better at the local land fill. We unpacked and spent time outside along the lakeshore. It is a nice location. Owner clamed to have wood for a fire. It was large pieces. no kindling. nothing to make kindling. Sauna was wood fired. again, no kindling and I was fearful the sauna bldg may catch fire. A very large wasp nest hung from rafters 3 ft from door. NOT safe ! Queen bed was old and very hard. we will not come back. Old resort without care to up grade sad jim evans

The cabin was exactly as described - rustic but charming. The bathroom was surprisingly modern and very clean and plenty of towels. The small deck was perfect for sitting and looking out at the lake or for dining. The beach was perfect for our needs. Having the boat lift was a game changer on the night we had a storm. I would love to go back.

Labor Day Getaway
I would most definitely recommend staying at this cabin on Lake Vermillion. It is a nice cabin, very clean! The location is great. Bonnie answered right away when I accidentally locked ourselves out of the cabin..Opps!! It is a little tricky so make sure you always have the key on you!! ;) The Sunrises are spectacular!! Most definitely will be back to this cabin!

Cozy Cabin on the Water
Wonderful location on the Big Bay portion of Lake Vermillion.
Cabin was as described and very comfortable for a family of 4 with 2 kids [9,3].
Location on the water was key and made fishing or sight seeing in the boat wonderful as you didn't have to go through the hassle of trailering the boat each time. Made several outings a day instead of feeling obligate to stay on the water until loading up.
The kids loved being able to play in the water, catch crawfish [the Rusty's if you can get them, made a wonderful meal], and the paddleboat/canoe topped it all off.
If planning a trip back to Vermillion will most certainly look for the availability of this cabin.

Lovely Autumn Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay in Tower. The cabin was super clean, Rodger was very responsive over text to some questions we had (such as needing a can opener :)), and overall the location was serene and peaceful.

Cozy Fishing Retreat on Lake Vermilion
This separate little cabin from the primary Westhaven Lodge is great. It is cozy with a nice old school up north feel about it. The bathroom has been renovated. It includes it's own dock with boat lift and a nice deck facing the lake. Close proximity to The Vermilion Club, Fortune Bay & The Y Store is a bonus. Communicating with the owner was a breeze.

Fall Fishing Adventure
This is a great spot on the south side of Lake Vermilion. Four of us went there to fish for the week and had a great time. The cabin sits on the waterfront and is like having your own private place. Cabin is rustic, which we like with all the comforts of home and amenities fisherman need and require for their boats and equipment. Would highly recommend

Everything was great! Bonnie is super friendly. Cabin is rustic and cute. Only thing I would change is checkout is at 9 am. Big bummer having to get up and rush to pack and load everything by 9am.

We had a great time on Lake Vermillion at Westhaven. Great weather, cabin was great. Nice deck. We met the caretakers and they were very nice. Had minor trouble with WiFi but Rodger helped us with that.

The property was just as described and beautiful. Everything in the cabin worked like should and we spent most of our time fishing.
The only issue we had was the boat lift which would not retract all the way down and therefore could not be used.
