The exterior of the building is beautiful and the inside is just as impressive. I was staying in a one bedroom apartment and it was stunning. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The whole place was just beautiful. Location was perfect. Bang in the city centre. The staff were great, especially the lovely woman at reception who helped me with my extended stay and was able to keep me in the same apartment. I loved that there is a kitchen so you can cook your own meals if wanted, beautiful furniture and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. I really cannot fault this place. I never went to the restaurant or the bar so I can’t comment on them. I’m sure, and hope, they would be just as good as the rest of the hotel. In terms of price it might be seen as expensive for some but for the quality you receive it is worth every penny. I will definitely stay here again. And again.

Well situated in the centre of Carlisle, this is a great set up. We had the most beautiful apartment- spectacularly clean and comfortable.
Was a little bit expensive for Carlisle but we did get an upgrade so not complaining at all !

Excellent apartment with everything you could want, and more. Central location near railway station. Very comfortable and well equipped including coffee machine, robes, slippers and ear plugs (weekends can be noisy!). Plenty of tea, coffee and milk supplied for duration of our stay, along with crumpets, butter and jam.

this is our second stay at the Halston first time we had an apartment and this time we stayed in the townhouse, beautiful spacious apartment, very clean, reception staff were very friendly and helpful, very much appreciated the water, tea, coffee and crumpets with jam 😊 pthe only extremely slight improvement would be a set of drawers for slightly more storage however this would not put me off staying here again, good parking facilities also

The staff were so helpful. They looked after our bags, gave us directions to the sights and had time for a chat. The place was immaculate and the food was plentiful.

We stayed in the Penthouse apartment and couldn't fault it at all, loved all the extra touches. Fresh milk in the fridge, butter, jam, cereals and crumpets, amazing !!!

This is our favourite place to stay in Carlisle. It’s great having an apartment and being able to cook. Accommodation is spacious and staff are nice.

Was clean, lovely decor and finish. Used bar and restaurant both have great decor and vibe. Evening meal was great
Apartment was lovely couldn’t fault it BUT the noise from the apartment above was outrageous blaring music, screaming, cheering and running across the floor. Then the bed, I so wanted to give full 10/10 but the Bed was so uncomfortable one of they mattresses that was far too soft, lumpy and both rolled into the middle of mattress. Both had a really uncomfortable night and both had sore back and legs in the morning. I have stayed in budget hotels that have had much comfier beds and less noise from room above (apartment 201)

very well placed, very modern and had all of the features you would expect from an apartment with a small living / kitchen area. they had a very nice bar with afternoon tea as well.
we booked at short notice due to train cancellations and it was quite expensive

The mini apartment offers a great deal of flexibility and space to relax and great ready for a night out.
Not a deal breaker but the bathroom didn't de-mist due to poor extractor fan.
