Amazing, clean and calm place. Highly recommend. The owners was so nice, polite, friendly and helpful. The food was so delicious. Easy to find, only 5 min. from the bus stop. They organised for us safari and other places to see. Thank you!

The best homestay experience we had in Sri Lanka. When we go there, we feel like we are at home. The rooms are very clean and nice. Also, there was a mini bar in the room for us to use. The garden is full of flowers. While having breakfast you can watch birds, butterflies, squirrels and monkeys in the garden. Mrs. Mallika's food is excellent. Don't forget to have dinner if you are there. We enjoyed the best rice and curry and kottu we had in Sri Lanka. Also, the owner arranged an airport shuttle for us at a very reasonable price and took us everywhere in their tuk tuk. And the Minneriya safari they organized was excellent. We saw a lot of wild animals there. Experienced jeep driver and kindest person to animals. Finally we recommend Palitha Homestay. If you are going to Sigiriya, you must stay at Palitha Homestay. Their service is excellent.

Close to Lions 🦁 Rock so I could walk there and close to town as well. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast as well.

Breakfast is good.. They ask what you want? That is good. Lot of fruits in the dining. Very close to Sigiriya lion rock. Big cots and cot covered with mosquito net.

Frog is in the toilet pan. Card payment not accepted.

The room was simple and clean. The staff, two young brothers, were efficient, punctual and with good manners. They provided tuk-tuk service for the duration of our stay and give us complimentary bicycles to ride around Sigiriya. Also, they arranged a safari (Gayan Jeep Safari). We were particulary pleased with the driver who managed to avoid other people in a crowded park, locate elphants pretty much instantly and clearly demonstrated a respect for animals. Lastly, it was nice to sit on the veranda on the last hours of the day keeping our voices down to avoid attracting wild elephants :)

The bathroom looked a bit shabby. Wather pressure was minimal and there were fiew places to hang towels and place items.

This is a place run by a family.The family is so amazing friendly. The mother is a perfect wonderful mama. so nice and caring, she woke up early to make us breakfast.The breakfast was really wonderful. So I ordered dinner from them.Their rice and curry is the best I have had in Sri Lanka. The room is really great, super clean and comfortable. The son is also a tuktuk driver so he took us anywhere we wanted, and was super available to bring us back in any time. It's easily walking distance (15min) to Lion Rock. You can rent a bicycle from them if you want.This is my second time at Palitha Homestay and will definitely come back again if I get the chance. Highly recommended.

A/C temperature was difficult to switch.

Great service! Nice food. Beautiful garden. There was a table and two chairs outside. Good air conditioning. There was a small fridge. It was full with drinks for an additional price. The hotel worker arranged a taxi for us to our next destination for a very good price.

The room was a bit small but it's good for the price.

located like in the jungle, jackfruit tree (with fruits!) is just in the garden, also off main road, so quiet and cozy. Owners are nice and helpful. Room is spacious, a/c good and quiet

This homestay is a little home away from home ~ the rooms are very clean, breakfast and dinner were delicious and the service was excellent. They really went out of their way to make guests feel welcome and helped us with anything we needed! Great location and highly recommend 😊

The brothers were so friendly and helpful. They arranged transportation to Dambulla, a jeep tour, and various meals for us.

The host is very friendly and highly hospitable. The rooms are nice and clean. The garden is very beautiful and quiet. And the dinner especially the rice and curry is very delicious. Don't forget dinner while you're there. Their tuk tuk will take you anywhere at a reasonable price. And they arranged a taxi and elephant safari for us. Recommend to everyone.

Super host very helpful, organised good few things for us as we came unprepared. The place tucked away in the forest but just around the corner from Sigirya where all the local bars are , so super handy. We had terrace and Aircon in the place. Also amazing price

What a fantastic stay at Palitha Homestay! As soon as the booking was confirmed I was contacted for any assistance I may require. We were helped with activities to do in the area and transport was arranged for us. Anything you need they will help you with. The home cooking was really, really good and I would recommend eating there if you stay. Very friendly, welcoming people and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend people stay here!

Amazing location, only a short walk to sigiriya and quick 5-10 minute tuk tuk to pidurangala. Hosts were lovely and great spread of food for dinner. Highly recommend if you want to see sigiriya

It was the quietest accomadation we experienced in Sri Lanka. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He told us alot about Sigiriya and he organized a safari tour for us. We had a lot of fun there. Breakfast and dinner are delicious. We will definitly come back one day.

This place is a must if you want to experience authenticity in Sri Lanka. This is best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. Our room and common areas were spotlessly clean and it was equipped with air conditioning. We also had a fridge which was pre-stocked with water and beers. Our bed had a mosquito tent around it which was very welcomed given the unique jungle setting of the house. Our en suite bathroom was spotlessly clean with a fully functioning shower with hot water, a toilet and a sink. The food was amongt the best we have had, not only in Sri Lanka but ever. The curry rice in particular stood out as a highlight, with many delicious options accompanied by rice, fried potatoes and poppadoms. Our host was very welcoming and organised transport to local tourist sites. Strong wifi was available throughout the site, including in our room. Last but not least, relaxing in the hammocks listening to nothing but the hum of the jungle insects and the rumble of the passing motorbikes is a pleasure in the evenings after exploring what Sigiriya and its neighbouring towns have to offer. 10/10 would recommend.
