Saubere schöne Zimmer, direkt am Camino
Frühstück wird ab 08:30 angeboten, dies erfährt man aber nicht bei der Buchung. Für den Pilger natürlich viel zu spät da man früh los möchte wegen der Hitze. Es wird auch kein Frühstückspacket angeboten, also bezahlt für nichts

The Thomar Story Guest House was perfect! It was super cute, comfortable, clean and in a great location. They were amazing and very welcoming and went above and beyond. They breakfast was fresh, inexpensive and not crowded! Location was walking distance to restaurants and the Castle and Convent. Wish we would have stayed longer!
Nothing bad just note that there is no lift as it is a building over 100 years old. They were kind enough to hold our luggage downstairs and while we visited the Castle and Convent.

I spent 3 nights at Thomar Story and I really enjoyed my stay. The location is perfect and it is easely accessible. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and it was beyond clean! I also enjoyed the breakfast. I travelled during November so it was a bit more cold but there was some extra blanket. Thomar is a lovely little town! I had the castle pretty much for myself during off season and I spent my afternoon in the garden. The covent of the Christ is very beautiful and impressive!

Check out time was midday so time to explore a little and still get back to the hotel for a quick rest.

Hotel in city centre. Quite convenient location. It was nice to get a room with a view of the castle. Good restaurants and attractions within walking distance.
Hotel on a busy street. It lacks a bright signboard, making it difficult to detect when driving. To make matters worse, when we book the hotel, we see that parking is available in a public car parking lot. I was hoping that it was next to the hotel. Unfortunately, the clerk suggested that we park in Market Square, which is almost 0.5 km away. I think Booking should ask for a more precise description of the parking location. It should be noted that there is no elevator in the hotel, so you have to bring your suitcases to the floor you need.

location was superb. accommodation was exceptionally clean and room comfort was great. I had booked a studio apartment so had a fridge, two ring electric hob, microwave and coffee machine available for my use. Tomar can get very hot so the fridge certainly came in handy to keep my drinks cold! My apartment was on the top floor and was very well laid out and felt quite spacious.
Room also had air conditioning.
Thomar Story offered breakfast at a small extra charge which was great and was constantly being replenished by attentive staff.
The property itself does not have private parking, but free parking is available in a spacious public car park 4 mins walk from the property by the municipal market.
Whilst this was not a problem to me, the property had no lift so people with mobility issues may have a problem with the stairs.

New small town-centre guest house by river, close to shops/bars/restaurants. Clean and comfortable room with good wifi. There was a kitchenette, though I did not use it. A small balcony, though only over an interior courtyard with no view as such. Reasonably priced.
The booking acknowledgement said that access was only via a key code, which I would be sent before arrival, but which I never received. When I got there, I found the door open and a lady at reception. So that was a rather misleading acknowledgement.
Otherwise, no complaints.

location was central, room was spacious with facilities to make food which would have been great had i been staying longer than one night.
the stairs are wood so the clanking of people coming in late woke me up a few times.
the bathroom was infested with ants, i put the bathmat down and when i returned for a shower the floor was covered with ants. this was a room with foodmaking facilities so i was glad i decided against using them.
