Very nice barman, didn't get his name, woman who checked me in when I arrived seemed to care less, I asked her did she speak English( I used French) and her one word response was Non! On car parking, she waved dismissively towards front of the house, which is actually street parking and a bit of a lottery. Shouldn't be described as free parking icon bookings. com. Apart from that lovely hotel, nice clean room and good breakfast

The hotel has changed its name since I booked. So it was a bit difficult to find. Apart from that everything was fine. Just across the road there is an entrance to the promenade with a good walk into the town of St Malo. We were able to park in a street behind the hotel and it is a 10 minutes drive to the ferry.

Friendly welcome on arrival. Room was comfortable and clean and had a nice wide screen TV. Excellent location over the road from the beach near to some nice local restaurants and a small supermarket

The receptionist was nice and welcoming. There is a nice view and it is not very far from intra-muros (we walked every day 15 mins)

everything. but the worst is cigarette smell in the room and everywhere in the hotel. if I would have time and energy in the evening I would definitely change hotel. It is absolutely unacceptable to have cigarette smell in place where I sleep. it cannot be considered normal by any mean (regardless of hotel price). I could close my eyes for uncomfortable bed or very thin blanket (in my opinion) but cigarette smell is nightmare. so basically I arrived for one night as I had early morning meeting in Saint Malo and I live 3 hours away, so didn’t want to wake up too early to drive and wanted to have a proper rest. well I didn’t as sleeping with such smell was nearly impossible. on top of it I am 6 months pregnant, so not ideal for my or baby health. i would absolutely not recommend this hotel, I am sure there are better places, but I was unlucky to chose the wrong one.

Street parking, almost impossible on a Sunday. No-one there to check us in. Had to search for number to make phonecall...in French...for instructions. No kettle, tea/coffee, in room. Restaurant and bar downstairs closed! Very poor!

The location was amazing.

We went to this hotel with the feeling that we have found a little gem, a serene house close to the beach - well, we didn’t. First we had to even call to get inside, take the hotel card ourselves and go to our room. Then there was the issue with the toilet that didn’t flush properly no matter how much you tried. But that was okay for us, we just wanted to enjoy the beach and relax. What wasn’t okay were the consequences of a single night. Me and my friend took the liberty of drinking a bottle of wine by the beautiful sunset, enjoying the beach view. When we came to the hotel, my friend wanted to see the beach once more but I was too tired so she went off alone. Unfortunately, she forgot the card. She knocked on the door, banged, woke people up (because the whole hotel has paper thin walls) but as I’m a tough sleeper, I didn’t hear. There was no reception at such an hour, of course, and no means of getting inside to get her sleep. She was forced to sleep on the couch up until early morning hours. Later on, a whole entourage appeared before our door, conveying that it was too loud and that they want us out. I tried explaining the situation (in French!) in vain - I could see that they had already made up their minds. “There was alcohol involved,” one of them said. Well, we were adults so we drank, we enjoyed the sunset with wine. I don’t believe that justifies their actions. They even told me they wouldn’t give us money back for the second night we were supposed to spend there. We were kicked out, without our money, and had to find a last-minute hotel in a completely different city, a very expensive one so that we wouldn’t have to sleep on the street. That’s something nobody deserves. If I could, I would give the whole place 0 stars.
