The room was pet-friendly (we paid an additional $20 for the night to have our small older dog with us), and a treat and blanket was left for our pet which was a nice touch, along with the rules / expectations of the motel (which were quite reasonable). The bed / bedding was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were roomy, There were tub chairs in the room, which were comfortable, along with a small table and chairs. The microwave was also appreciated. We arrived after 6pm on a Sunday so our room key was left for us in the safe outside of reception, with the details text to me, which worked well. The motel is right near a service station and KFC. Parking was just outside the door.

As the motel is on the highway there is some road noise, but we still slept well.

The owners were incredibly friendly and obviously love dogs. Was a great place to stop and stay while road tripping back from a busy weekend.

I like Chinchilla, and the meals I had at the RSL, people were always nice

The Chinchilla Great Western Motel was disappointed when I drove around to my room, I saw industrial rubbish bins and somewhat unsightly. The Great Western Motel was nothing like the nice photographs on the website, staying overnight was okay however we did have to share the soap, in the bathroom was notice about conserving water, but the funny thing is that the old toilet flushes 13 L compare to 3 L flush for a new toilet. I probably won't stay there again, perhaps they should look at upgrading..
