We have enjoyed our short stay at this beautiful place. A lot of nature and amazing sky at night. Perfect for people who enjoy star gazing, relaxing in the nature and have bike or horse tours. There is possibility to take a horse rides for them who wants to do it. It is possible to borrow bicycles absolutely free of charge. Whole area is looking fantastic and is located perfectly between Faro and Olhao, so it is possible to travel any direction by bicycles.

Stunning place. Right amongst nature. Perfect for bird watching and chilling. Pedro is great host. Would suggest having a car to get the best out of your stay.

The friendly animals, helpful, kind and caring staff. the facilities were cool-the pool, the football pitch and communal area. Fantastic view from the rooftop/terrace. Lovely place and very relaxing.

the life on a farm starts early in the morning so late sleepers be aware..

Peacefulness , nature, felt rural but not actually far from transport network to connect with Faro town and olháo and airport. Friendly staff & host.. Loveable dogs and cat on site.

There wasn't a convection oven in chalet.

A really restful place to stay. Clean and comfortable we are on a road trip and had stayed in Lisbon before coming here I have limited mobility and after the rushing around in Lisbon I sat in caught up on the washing great drying on the roof

Nothing not to like

Wide-open spaces, part of the advertising perfect distance from downtown Faro, but without parking headaches or noisy bars. Friendly owner, very helpful and quick to address any issues. Has everything you need-- comfy beds, shower temperature is easy to adjust (!!), electric teapot works great, giant outside dining area when you want to be outside! If you like an automatic pet cat or dog, you will be covered! They're adorable.

The shower door slider needs replacing. Hard to open the shower door.

Pedro is super kind- He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. He gave us many tips on the surrounding area and even gave us a lift back to Faro city on our last stay. We loved his staff especially the lady who was always around to help us when we needed something and the friendly farm animals.

The property is awesome, you are staying in a natural reserve, with huge ponds full of fishes and birds… with cows and horses around too :-)

Very clean property with all the essentials! what a lovely sleep i had! amazing mattress and pillows! and a welcome basket with some snaxks and drinks. Plus had games and bikes available for a stroll in the farm! rows of olive trees and a lake right next to the property a sun roof with amazing views of the farm, we had horses and cows around and a friendly cat and dog roaming around outside. The host was the most considerate and welcoming ever, to the point of waiting for us to arrive at 00:00. nothing was too much trouble! Loved the staff and owner was super friendly!

The incredible noisy thunderstorms which are obviously out of owners control! so no negative points here!

Wonderful place, full of space and silents.

Everything, very cozy and welcome. The place is pretty much a 2 bed room house with everything you need a guide with restaurant near by and attraction, you are located 10 minutes from faro and a lot of shops...my kids loved it.. from the staff being very welcome to the green and farm surrounds. They are used live in a city this was a perfect holiday for them. Horses, dogs, cow and fishing. I cannot to return next year

Great location. Best place if you want peace and quiet! We could spot flamingos and other bird species on the premises. Spacious holiday home with 2 private terraces. Loved the animals, especially the dogs and especially the black one (could not remember his name :) )

It was not the easiest to get taxis too and from however pedro helped us with arranging other means of travel

Pedro was very friendly and helpful. Unique location on a working farm, yet very close to the city and with modern amenities such as a pool and good wifi.

Pedro and all staff are very helpful. It was my second time there and I plan to visit Herdade again.

It was a unique and peaceful stay close to nature. I really enjoyed the few days I was there and can highly recommend it.

Very friendly owner, you are welcome to explore the farm on bike or foot. There is fussball, table tennis, a small football pitch and an outdoor pool. Location is out of town, so is very peaceful, with great views of Faro from the rooftop terrace.

Arriving quite late by taxi, the road leading to the property seems a bit unlikely... Even the taxi driver seemed unsure.

Nothing … room and kitchen is small - it may not be for you if you are looking for 5 star luxury. But it’s authentic, on a working farm and an experience of real Portugal.
