Wonderful property in a beautiful location. Comfortable and spacious bedroom with stunning views. Wide range of delicious breakfast options prepared by our hosts. The garden and terrace are particularly lovely and there are good walks accessible nearby. We loved everything about our stay.

it was an old place beautifully and lovingly restored, keeping the traditional nature of the property but with all of the modern conveniences. The gardens were lovely as well. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choices and gluten and dairy free options.

Everything. it’s a lovely building with lots of character & history located in a beautiful setting. Everything is bright & clean. it is located a short walk (8 minutes) from Exford which is a pretty village. The owners do everything they can to make the stay enjoyable, including very well stocked tea & coffee facilities. We were presented with a flask of fresh milk on our arrival & there was cake waiting for us in the room. There is a terrace / veranda where you can sit looking out over a lovely garden & the hills in the background. The breakfast was very good, with choices to suit everyone. Overall a really nice stay.

I hesitate to say anything because it is so nice, but being super critical, our room - Rm.7 - was a bit small. My husband is quite big so we could have done with a bigger bed (I don’t know if the other rooms are the same size or bigger)

The breakfast was fabulous. A fantastic variety of homemade goodies championing local produce. The vegetarian offering included homemade beans, griddled avocado and halloumi and the daily changing special are highly recommended.

Exceptional B&B that we would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. We look forward to holidaying there again.

Shower was not very poweful and the sofa bed was not very comfortable as a settee

The breakfasts were the best I have ever eaten, anywhere. The log burners made it feel like home. The bed was extremely comfortable and the owners friendly and welcoming. This was our second visit and we will stay again. Good location, especially for walking and sightseeing.

The walk into Exford is down a very narrow raised pavement with little street lighting.

From the beautiful setting to the elegant but homey feeling, Egcott House is a dream B&B with Penny at the helm welcoming you discreetly and letting us feel as though we had the house to ourselves. There are cosy fires everywhere to ward off the coming winter cold and the rooms are toasty and comfortable. Coffee machine in the room with plenty of choices of tea. Plenty of informative magazines about the cherished Exmoor, the super comfortable bed, the views the history. Every detail has been thought about to make sure it's hard to leave. And it was!

We loved Edgcott House,it is one of the very best b and bs we have ever stayed at. Breakfast was amazing with a choice every day. Simon was very helpful in planning our walks and lent us maps and books to help us. It is such a beautiful old house and in a fantastic location
