A unique property in an excellent location with top-notch staff.

our upgraded Riverview room was double booked so we had to move to another room. A disappointment for us. we were moved twice. staff was very helpful in our relocation. an inconvenient mistake. an inconvenient mistake.

The location was good - easy access to the malecon and beach. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of public areas in the hotel and they were nice spaces.

Our room "the countess" was on the small side -there was no comfortable place to sit in the room; bathroom door was useless; step in bathroom somewhat dangerous; the closet mini - though not a hugh issue for us. It also seemed that decorations and features of the room were afterthoughts and not cohesive. We looked into other rooms and they looked well thought out - and roomy. No beach towels were available.

wonderful stay. loved how peace the facility was. we were greeted in such a friendly way, offering us margaritas, chips and guacamole and lots of recommendations for the best local spots. the breakfast on the back patio was beautiful. our room and the entire facility had such authentic charm with solid wood furniture etc. loved our stay here.

The hotel itself was in a great location, very close to restaurants and other attractions, but tucked away so you didn't get much city noise. I loved the layout with the many seating areas, staircases, colorful walls and variety of art that made it all so charming. The staff were very friendly and helpful- they gave us great tips and recommendations. We enjoyed the warm pool, the communal kitchen, and bar services - I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to returning.

In the room we stayed in, because of the door, the bathroom was a bit awkward to get in and out of.

Everyone was so incredibly helpful and welcoming! The space is absolutely breathtaking, and the location is perfect (so close to the beach, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle). Having breakfast out on the terrace was such a treat. We kept on saying how we could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay when in Puerto Vallarta.

Everything about this property is amazing! It beautiful! Tucked away from the street, lovely architecture. the pool, rooms, decor and especially the staff. it is wonderful. They think of everything. Martha was helpful and kind. We were welcomed with margaritas and guacamole. the honor bay by the pool made it easy to enjoy a drink and relax. I wish we had more time there. Highly recommend this hotel. You are a 10 minute walk to most things and an inexpensive cab ride to the port or airport.

nice and approachable staff. went there when hurricane roslyn threatened western mexico, but i felt safe.

The room was great! I loved how each room had its own balcony. Also, the staff, and breakfast were excellent!

everything at this property more than met our expectations. all the staff was friendly and helpful and had ready answers to any questions we had. location was about 250 ft off the river markets and all restaurants in old town were an easy walk.

I will be going on every platform to tell everyone how awesome this place is. I miss being here already. From the super comfy bed, to the beautiful pool, to the amazing service we got from every person that worked there (a special shout out to Jerry, thank you!!). I will be day dreaming of this wonderful hotel until I get to go back. Thank you Garlands del Rio for a beautiful vacation home!

Everything so nice it was like you were at a family’s house because it was so cozy everybody was very nice very helpful and the room was so clean
