Beautiful holiday home on the island Very spacious apartment with all you need. Great view and lovely outdoor area with a pool It's also easy accessible by car. Close to the airport and also to Santa Cruz where there are many restaurants and bars. We had a wonderful stay, thank you!

Casa Breña looked like a fantastic place to stay. The reviews were stellar, practically all 5-star ratings. On the surface Casa de Breña met all our needs and we booked for ten days. It's in a somewhat rural location, which was nice and quiet. There is a bus ride into town from a stop a short walk from the house. Basically, the house was as advertised as far as accommodation and facilities, sea and mountain views, a swimming pool and a fairly well equipped kitchen. However, not all was as expected. The building is damp (see photos). On entering the building the smell of damp was overwhelming. The host said that the house had not been open for long enough prior to the booking. However during our stay the house remained damp (in spite of our opening windows wide and plenty of sunshine) and the smell was present at all times and particularly bad in some rooms, cupboards and with some items e.g. fleece blankets. There is mould on the walls in places and paint is peeling off in damp spots. This is actually a health hazard. It was almost impossible to warm the bed up because of the damp. Also the shower head was loose, ineffective, and very annoying; it needs replacing. The general cleanliness of the house was poor. Considering we were paying over 120 euros a night it was all rather disappointing and spoilt our stay on La Palma.

Great house, great location and a wonderful island. All you need as a family is there.

The pool could do with some heating. And some furniture items needed attention. But this is all minor. The overall impression is very good.

Extremely well equipped kitchen, nice beds, great outdoors divided over multiple levels, good quiet yet central location.

Only thing was that the shower tiles could have cleaned a bit better or replaced, same for the chairs outside, kitchen cabinet doors and sunbed mattresses. fix these and it would have been a 10!

The property was big enough, spacious for 6, and the swimming pool was formidable. The host, Ana, the best. Serviceable, fast and she care for our stay. She answered any question or query like a lightning. Also we have a wine and chocolates to celebrate our arrival.

The cleanliness of some facilities at the kitcken, the oven was dirty, and some tools were not even cleaned before our arrival (toaster as an example). The loungers around the swimming pool were dirty, they could work on this.

We stayed at Casa La Brena for our honeymoon. It was absolutely STUNNING! The old style house had a modern twist and the plunge pool was perfect for a cool down during the afternoon. It was the perfect location for exploring the whole island. Los Cancajos was ten minutes drive, Santa Cruz and the boardwalk was ten minutes away and the village of San Antonio and the spar was a ten minute walk. It was the ideal mix of rural life with the city right at your fingertips. We explored the whole island from here and always felt happy to return home and watch the cruise ships from the roof. A truly memorable experience!! Also massive thank you for the personal touches with the congratulations chocolates and wine waiting for us to celebrate our honeymoon!
