El desayuno estaba bien.

La actitud de los empleados y el jefe. Hicimos una reserva para cuatro personas. Una de ellas es marroquí y al cabo de un rato tras habernos dado la habitación, llegó la encargada a decirnos que esta persona no podía dormir en la misma habitación que nosotros. Ya que el jefé lo habia observando con las cámaras y cuando vio a nuestro compañero de origen marroquí aviso a la encargada para que nos comunicase que tendríamos que pagar otra habitación más para él. Como llegamos a las 19:00 y no teniamos otra opción, acabamos pagando una habitación extra porque si no, él no podía dormir alli. Llevamos viajando juntos varias semanas por todo el país y es en el primer Riad que nos ocurre esto. Además también fue el único que no nos recibió con un té de bienvenida.

Сложилось ощущение,что мы приехали в гости к близким родственникам. Управляющий Закария с самого начала делал все,чтобы нам понравилось ,чтобы нам было комфортно,выполнял все наши просьбы и пожелания. Он встретил нас около такси и провел в отель,показал,где находятся нужные нам магазины и места Мекнеса. Сам Риад производит впечатление музея,как будто бы ты попал в сериал Клон. Вокруг тебя столькл красивых предметов, и обстановка полностью переносит тебя в прошлые века. Все настолько аутентично,что создается ощущение нереальности. Можно подняться на крышу ,посидеть,выпить чая и насладиться видом . В номере были удобные кроаати,всегда чистое белье и полотенца. Завтрак тоже был не как везде. Закария зажигает огонь в обогревателе и накрывает стодики в холле риада. Все очень вкусно,по домашнему и сытно. Само место тоже очень интересное- Медина. Вокруг миллион разных лавочек ,сувениров и продуктов. Я могу рекомендовать это место всем,кто хочет погрузится в обстановку древности,национального колорита и насладиться тишиной. Sehr saubere und gepflegte Unterkunft. Gutes Frühstück. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Kein Lärm von außen, da das Riad geschlossen ist. Schöne Dachterrasse. Öffentlicher Parkplatz in unmittelbarer Nähe.

De eigenaar was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hadden een ruime kamer. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. De riad heeft een goede ligging, het is makkelijk te vinden en je kunt de auto dichtbij parkeren.

Er zaten vlekken in het beddengoed en de badkamer had een beetje een rioollucht.

Absolument tout, le royal porte bien son nom. Riad magnifiquement décoré, très propre, chambre spacieuse, petit déjeuner très copieux et idéalement situé à 3 mn du parking lalla ouda. Son gérant, Zacharia est à vos petits soins et très aimable et gentil.

The host, Zakaria was very accommodating. He is a nice pleasant man and was great with our kids. The location is brilliant and breakfast was nice.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and it was amazing! From the beautiful interiors to the breathtaking views from the rooftop, we were both left extremely impressed. The location is fantastic for exploring Meknes, and it made our vacation incredibly enjoyable. The personnel was extremely nice and never pushy. From the moment we made our reservation, the staff was quick to help and answered all of our questions with a friendly demeanor. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. Our experience there was truly awesome.

The host Zakaria is a friendly, helpful person. He welcomed us and as it was just before sunset during Ramadan, we went to the rooftop to catch the sunset and adhan. After this we descended and Zakaria already had the table set with a delicious Moroccan iftar dinner. My companion and I ate with Zakaria and enjoyed the food, the atay (Moroccan tea), and our conversation. Zakaria was great and helpful the whole stay.

BASICALLY: DON'T CHOOSE THE GROUND FLOOR ROOMS. :) First, note that we stayed on the ground floor in Chellah, which has two beds on the ground floor, and the bathroom, then stairs up to another room on the 2nd floor. This was a perfect situation for me and my companion (we didn't want to sleep in the same room), but the location means: 1) very noisy because of noise as people arrive/depart, as well as guests arriving at 12:30am and no one to open the door (yes, it woke me), 2) the room is very dark (there are no exterior windows). I also need to mention that the bed needs a serious upgrade. It was hard, lumpy (pillow too) and uncomfortable. Add the darkness and noise...well, if not for Zakaria (see above) it would have been unfortunate. I'll also mention that the wifi in the lower room was not good, but in the upper room it was, according to my companion, great.

A great value for money Riad in a quiet alley and very near to the central square of Meknes. I had an amazing Moroccan breakfast and Zakaria (Reception desk) gave me accurate instructions on how to go to Moulay Idris & Volubilis. The accommodation has a nice roof top as well with great views of the Medina and the surrounding areas.

Τhere was nothing dividing the floor between the shower and the rest of the bathroom (only a curtain which is not enough) and consequently after I took a bath, the floor was flooded. Fortunately it dries quickly but in the meantime the bathroom cannot be used.

The place was superb, so beautiful lounge and dining, very Morrocan inside this Riad especially room. We loved it. All facilities provided in room. Bed and mattress were topclass. Very comfy. Rooftop was a bonus. Breakfast was so delicious. Staff - Zakaria and Mohamed are very friendly, always helpful, easy to talk to and anything you ask they will provide you with perfect info and answers specially about Meknes ie for dining. They recommended us Aisha Food Cafe. Perfect food, very tasty flavour and mixing herbs cooking. We're so happy staying here and surely come back someday to spend more time in Meknes. Nothing I did not like about this place. It is normal to walk into Medina through small path until you find your accommodation but it's no problem at all for us. Thats a part of adventure.

- Unfortunately most sites of interest in Meknes were closed for refurbushment but Meknes was a nice town to spend time in

A regally GORGEOUS riad with the nicest owners you could ever possibly meet. They have helped me in so many ways. My stay was short but I'm sure I'll be back - the place is pure fairy-tale.

Mohammed was an exceptional host he went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. Breakfast was out of this world!!!

The hosts know the city well and are glad to give you tips for experiencing the city. The room was clean and nice, with a comfy bed. The building is very beautiful with its colorful zelige decorations, also there are beautiful carpets everywhere. The rooftop terrace is amazing. We asked if they could maybe wash our clothes and they were washed & dried within a day for a small fee. Amazing Moroccan breakfast as well.

The riad is beautiful and located in the Medina, yet it is easy to access the main road. The 2 guys at reception were great. they let me check in early and kept my bags as I went to Volubilis and brought my stuff to my room other pluses: - breakfast was delicious! there were olives, awesome Moroccan crepes served with honey and jam on the side, a croissant and another French pastry, plus a baguette with olive oil- all for one! - super clean - hot water in the shower, day and night!

My husband fell ill during our stay in Meknès and we had to stay in Riad Royal longer than planned. The staff, Mohammed and Zachary were adorable! They were so helpful and accommodating to our needs. It was a big relief in the situation. The place is great.

We loved our stay here! Both of the guys were super helpful and attentive to our needs. The rooms were beautiful and dining area downstairs was a great place to chill out and drink some mint tea. It was in a perfect location, within a few mins walk from everything you'd need. Breakfast was lovely - changed up each day. The view from the rooftop was amazing, particularly at sunset! Thank you and I hope we'll be back

Perfect location. We parked our car in the park which is just 300m from this riad. It is really beautiful inside. It has unique decoration. You feel as you are in the museum. The staff is friendly.

We came late and when I took off the blanket, I noticed that the bedsheet is full of bread cramps which mean that it had never been changed. Also, the blanket was full of blood stains. We called them and they came and changed the bed. But in the morning, I looked at the floor and it was so dirty and full of somebody's hair as no one was cleaning it for 1 month. I complained and they cleaned the room. I would still recommend this riad for stay but please when you do check-in check if you bed was changed, and the room was cleaned.

You walk the narrow ordinary street of Meknes, reach the hotel, you have no great expectations and then BOOM you are shocked what you find behind that door. This place is like no hotel, I would say i have spent a night in a Museum. Really cool atmosphere. Very nice staff. Thank you.

Beautiful small riad within walking distance from the main attractions of Meknes. It is very easy to find the riad as it is only a short distance from the main road. There's a large car park 5 minutes by foot. There's a nice terrace with a view over the city, and the riad and the room has a nice decor. The staff was very courteous and nice and agree to serve breakfast on the terrace.
