Reasonable room for the price. Lovely location right on the beach with a water taxi guy (Ormelio🙂) right at the little launch area off to the side of the property. Walking to Starfish beach was easy and a nice stroll, though I didn’t see many starfish as it was the afternoon and they are mostly out in the morning and apparently a lot of them have been killed off by tourists picking them up. If you go there PLEASE DON’T DO THIS! Food was good and I wasn’t aware that the kitchen normally closes Tuesday mornings while they go into Bocas Town for supplies. But the lady who served me each time I ate and whose name I can’t recall (sorry!) was sweet and made me and the real estate agent I met with that morning (Carmen, Roots Real Estate 🙂) breakfast anyway.

There was a thunderstorm my first night there that shook the cabin relentlessly. Just know that this is a possibility. Also, the room became uncomfortably hot and when I left the door open to get some air a mosquito got in and bit me (but only once, I’m a quick bug smacker). There were three fans but the room really needs AC in my opinion.

We had a wonderful stay at Yarisnori! located at Isla del Drago, it’s far away from the city noise and features a great beach and a direct bus connection to reach the city at your own convenience. The owner was kind enough to accommodate all our requests (snorkel equipment, laundry, support with other things) without any hassle and she genuinely cared to make us feel welcome. there are many wonderful animal species around, so it’s a perfect stay for nature lovers at Isla Colon. wifi Connection was good and reliable & there’s an easy access to playa Estrella, which in our opinion is overrated and too touristy.

There is a very nice lagoon within a 5 mins. footwalk.

Due to the virus the restaurant closes early (18.00h)! Nothing else around for food or drinks. Food was tasteless and for vegetarians pretty bad. I booked a two bed room, came with a friend and they tried to rip us off and charge the double price which would be 72$/night! There is a small beach part in the front of the hotel and the boats decided to stop/park exactly there. The toilet shower leaked the whole night and the bathroom was wet all over. They fixed the next day. No Wifi in the rooms, only at the restaurant. We felt pretty unwelcomed.

The hostel is a public health hazzard. There are sand flies that bite you inside the resort. I have been to places around the world where there are many insects, but the owners provide mosquito nets on the beds, air conditioning and fumigate the premises with insecticide and manage the place to make the stay as comfortable as possible. That was not the case here. My wife was bitten in such a manner that she got literally dozens of scars. We had to buy a cream with cortisone and antibiotics. Arriving home we have been both to the doctor and taking all sorts of blood tests including leishmaniasis for which the sandfly is the vector, and we are waiting for the results. Adding to this all the other amenities were below expectations considering the price. Breakfast was regular. The owner told us that we could have a bottle of water per person per day but the staff didn't bother to leave it in the room. Twice they only cleaned the room after we asked. We felt like we had to beg for the service we were supposed to have. Lunch and dinner on the restaurant expensive for what you have.

Cottage style accommodation next to the restaurant and beach. Last stop of bus going from Bocas town. About 15 minutes walking to the "Starfish beach". Nice breakfast served in the restaurant (we chose eggs and coffee).

We were looking forward to enjoy nice silent night with sounds of nature, but instead, very noisy electric generator (probably neighbor's) was turned on whole evening. During night, it was little quieter, but it was still turned on and it was hard to sleep.
