Wir wurden direkt von den Besitzern mit Keksen und einem Begrüßungsdrink sehr herzlich empfangen. Es wurde auch direkt ein früherer Check-In ermöglicht. Abends wurden wir sehr lecker bekocht. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und die Unterkunft gemütlich. Der Gastgeber bietet zudem eine Safari an, die wir sehr empfehlen können. Für 65$ pro Person geht es hier mit dem Gastgeber und einem Fahrer in dem hauseigenen Safari Jeep für 5 Stunden auf Safari in den Udawalawe Nationalpark. Die Safari findet auch für nur 2 Personen statt. Auch ein Frühstück an einem idyllischen Spot im Park und der Parkeintritt sind hier bereits inkludiert. Die Safari war eines der bisherigen Highlights unseres Trips. Wir können sie wärmstens empfehlen. Der Transport von Udawalawa nach Ella wurde auch für uns organisiert. Als der Fahrer gesundheitsbedingt leider kurzfristig ausfiel, hat der Besitzer uns sogar persönlich nach Ella gefahren. Das haben wir ihn sehr hoch angerechnet!

There was nothing I did not like about this property. Everything was just perfect. The room was absolutely gorgeous with a such a beautiful bathroom [the floor was filled with stones]. The accommodation itself was so unique, clean and comfortable with really good A/C. It also had a mini fridge and was stocked with drinks and beer. It’s in a good location to the town and a bus stop right outside. The service of the hosts exceeded all expectations. I have never met such accommodating and attentive hosts, they brought us little homemade organic snacks when we came back from a long walk and always made sure we had everything we needed. They were so helpful with recommendations around the local area and sorting onward travel. I also loved the meals at this property, we shared them with all the other guests [there are three huts] and it was a nice opportunity to get to know them as well as the host himself, who also sat with us. His wife prepared the most amazing Sri Lankan curry, one of the best we have had! The breakfast was also very generous, different things each morning. We were very full after!! We also had different types of juice and they also offered coffee, which we have found not a lot of places offer this. Everything was just perfect, I could not recommend this place more. The effort and warm nature of this accommodation/ family is just outstanding. 10000/10!!!!!!

Alles. Vom liebevoll gestalteten Haus bis hin zum selbst zu bereiteten köstlichem Abendessen und der angebotenen Safari zum Udawalawe. Alles war perfekt.

Gemütliches, sauberes Bungalow mit einem tollen Gastgeber! Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit! Wir haben auch das Dinner genutzt und die Safari über den Gastgeber gebucht und waren sehr zufrieden.

El safari increíble, fuimos solos y el guía controlaba de todos las aves y animales del parque, nos encantó El alojamiento era perfecto, un remanso de paz, con cervezas bien frías para disfrutar en el porche de la habitación mientras oías a los animales de la zona. Cenamos allí y compartimos mesa con un grupo que se alojaba allí (solo hay dos cabañas más) y fui muy agradable, y la cena perfecta. No se puede pedir más! Encima barato!!

Beautiful little cottage, very clean and extremly nice a d friendly owner! They make sure to give you the best experience, they even do their own safari tour. The breakfast and dinner is delicious! And for a very good price. Can 100% recommend!
