The room deco, the bathroom geyser where the water was hot, the bed mattress really comfortable, the location very central, the deco in the common areas

In the room there was no door between the room and the bathroom which prevents privacy when going to the toilet. The room has a good curtain that blocks out the outside light in the morning, but light comes in from the bathroom as there is no door. With regards to breakfast: the receptionist asked us the evening before what timw we needed to leave and we said 7:15 am because we had a flight to catch, and asked when we would need the breakfast, we asked if 6:30 am was possible and he said no problem. At 6:30 when we arrived at the restaurant , the night guard was there and offered us tea or coffee, put a fruit salad cup on our table and toast and butter. We asked if there was anything else available and he went to get triangle cheese type laughing cow. This was clearly not the type of breakfast expected in a hotel with that pricing and standards. I would recommend that the hotel or restaurant staff organize everything for breakfast that needs to be taken early, before restaurant opens, so that the guard only needs to place everything on table, that way customers can experience a better experience, breakfast was just a disappointment.

Everything was great

The design and the service are top notch. The room was very comfortable, we didn’t want to leave. We loved the restaurant as well. The balcony was fantastic in our room, we would start the day there before heading to the beach.

They require a bank transfer to finalize your reservation. This is easy for residents of many countries, but not the US. They gave us an exception because they understood that it would be hard with a US bank, particularly if you happen to be traveling when booking the hotel.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, great breakfast and dining, clean. Super location. Able to use swimming-pool of another large hotel. Nearby Laginha beach and outgoing area without being in the middle of it.

Room could benefit from some maintenance here and there. Small things but could make a difference.

Not the hotel's fault but the building development next door is eventually going to remove the view of the harbour- such a shame. Means the rooms with balconies are impacted. Otherwise a good central location close to the marina and restaurants in the town.
