Deception!

The hostesses were so friendly and helpful. We got some of our dirty laundry done here for a very reasonable charge, which helped no end for the next leg of our trip. They recommended Biesanz Beach to us which was a marvellous experience - we saw as much wildlife there and on the walk to it as we had in the National Park! The WiFi was really strong, the sofa was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We certainly made use of the ceiling and standard fans because the weather was so hot and humid! It is within walking distance from a good supermarket, soda/restaurants (including a great pizza takeaway) and bus stops, which was really useful, because we were travelling around Costa Rica on public transport.

Lovely and welcoming staff! Nothing is too much trouble and they’re happy to share any tips or recommendations of things to do. Clean and comfortable beds, nice bathrooms & use of the kitchen. Shops nearby just down the street which is handy.
As a solo traveller, for me, it didn’t have much of a social vibe, it may have been the time of year I was staying there which isn’t the hotels fault just a thing to note maybe for other solo travellers.

Stay there was a blast! I felt extremely comfortable and safe. Was supposed to stay as the only girl with 4 guys in the room, when the owners offered me a room in their family house!! Moreover, they were very helpful with the information about buses, national park and nearby attractions. Place per se is spacious and clean, with lots of fans. Kitchen is also well-equiped. Felt more like a homestay, rather than hippie hostel.

Loved this little gem! Staff were incredibly friendly, super helpful and provided lots of tips both about Manuel Antonio and Costa Rica in general. They were also super responsive to messages on booking.com. Rooms were clean and comfortable with lockers for your stuff. Kitchen was well equipped and it was a 5min walk to the supermarket. It was also a 5min walk to the bus stop or 30min ish walk to the beach.
Not a big deal but like many hostels in this part of the world, its cash only!

Loved everything about this place ! It's very quiet, family kind of vibe, kitchen is well equipped, whole place is ventilated, the woman is super nice and gives you all the advice you need. I saw many animals just on that street ! Bus stop is not too far and also a supermarket, a sunset view point and some restaurants.
Nothing I would definitely stay again

Great kitchen, mosquito defences, friendly informative staff. Great location
Maybe bring food with you from quepos as the supermarkets are a bit expensive. Not related to the hotel.
Fans on the top bunks of the dorm weren't the best, but bottom bunks were great

The owner provided us with a lot of information about how we can move around Manuel Antionio and the surroundings. She was very helpful and we had an amazing stay at their place! I can only recommend it to everyone who plans to visit Manuel Antionio! :)

Friendly host. Nice dorm with two bathrooms. Very big and clean kitchen. Close to busstop and supermarket.

The owner is very welcoming and helped us to ensure we did not miss out on tickets to the National Park. The room was large and very clean. There were lots of shelves and hangers for clothes and possessions. The bathroom was reasonably big with a large shower. The hotel has a relaxed sitting area and a kitchen if you don't want to spend all of your time in the room. Only a short walk from the buses that run between Quepos and the National Park, and close to some good restaurants. Overall a really good budget option.
Just a few suggestions. Overall the sheets and towels were very clean, but some pillows had a few spots of mould that could be dealt with. Although the fact that it only has cold water is advertised, it would be great to offer hot in future. Somewhere to put cases instead of the floor would be great, there was ample room for it. Also a bedside lamp would help to make the lighting more cosy. Finally, perhaps have a card for guests who are happy to save extra washing and keep the same sheets; it was nice to have new ones in the third day of three, but not necessary.

Friendly family business.

Everything about the hostel is lovely, great staff, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, big enough kitchen.
It is a little far from "everything" in a hilly place, but buses run often and are cheap. There's not breakfast option at the hostel itself but in a soda on the main road.

no aircon, got pretty smelly and stuffed in the room with that many persons in there

the bedroom can get a little bit too hot during the day, but the "living room" is always freshy.

Very friendly owners who are always there to help you; it’s placed in a quiet neighbourhoud and there is a bus stopping nearby to go to quepos or manuel antonio beach very often; it has a cosy common area where you can easily meet other travellers.
There was only cols water

English spoken staff which is unusual for Central America, close to bus to get to the beach.
Cold water only, surroundings quite dark and depressing.

The biggest advantage of the place is the family. The sisters are very helpful, kind, supportive, and the mother is also nice. They really make you feel at home!

The room we used in Blue Morpho was clean and spacious with an ensuite. Staff were very friendly and took the time to help us when we had a query, even calling a bus company when we had a question.
The location was perfect for what we wanted, although it was a little hard to find as there was no sign indicating the name of the property visible from the road.

Lovely staff, great location, nice and peaceful. Home-like. Great kitchen! Really good wifi

The hostel is very clean and the host is very lovely and helpful. She gave us advice and was very knowledgeable about the area. The kitchen was the cleanest I saw in costa rica! the location is good as it's close to the buses to get everywhere. You can walk to the beach but it's not the best road ever as it's the main road (we did it everyday anyway). The buses are quite frequent so to go back up, which is a bit more tricky as it's on a hilly road, is very easy.
the room faces the kitchen so when the light is on it lids up all the bedroom and any chat from there sounds like it's in the bedroom. There is no hot water but we really had no problem with that as the temperature of the room is high anyway.
