Judith est une hôte très attentionnée et sympathique. Le logement est magnifique et dispose d’une terrasse avec vue sur la vallée et le le vieux village. Les différentes attractions du patrimoine culturel et naturel de la région sont accessibles en bus, voiture ou à pied depuis le village. Le petit-déjeuner est incroyable.

Rien à dire

La amabilidad de Judith y la tranquilidad del lugar. Las camas son cómodas. Las vistas desde la terraza son espectaculares. La ubicación de la estancia es ideal para visitar la zona.

Hemos echado en falta un microondas. Por la noche, habían muchos mosquitos y no pudimos disfrutar de la terraza. Es normal ya que la estancia está al lado del río.

Die Lage im Ort ist unbeschreiblich, genau wie der Blick vom Balkon. Frühstück über dem Abgrund in der Sonne hat wirklich etwas, vor allem, wenn es so toll und mit Hingabe gemacht ist. Judith ist eine tolle, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin mit vielen guten Hinweisen und Tipps. Hingehen und erleben sagt mehr als Worte. Genial ist, dass neben dem Zimmer auch ein weiterer Raum und der Balkon genutzt werden können. Es ist also mehr als genug Platz da.

Una anfitriona excepcional, un trato encantador. Hemos estado muy a gusto. El alojamiento y la ubicación también un 10.

Nos hemos quedado el fin de semana y la ubicación es perfecta, la habitación está genial y la propietaria es muy amable.

La habitación era amplia y confortable. Tiene un balcón con vistas. Dispone también de una mesa fuera de la habitación, y una pequeña nevera. (También cafetera, hervidor de agua y espumador para la leche). El wifi, netflix, prime y youtube son un plus agradable. Baño con ducha muy surtido (gel, champú, etc). El desayuno muy bueno (preferimos la versión salada a la dulce). Judith, la dueña, muy dispuesta y amable. La casa muy bien ubicada. Hay una explanada cerca donde aparcar.

There is nothing,not to like

Todo en el alojamiento fue excelente. La atención de la anfitriona es muy buena, ella es encantadora. Los desayunos son preparados en el lugar por ella y son realmente buenísimos, muy variados y contundentes. La habitación cuenta con acceso a una sala donde hay un pequeño refrigerador y donde se sirve el desayuno, con acceso a té y café, y un balcón muy bonito. La habitación muy cómoda, espaciosa, con buena señal de WIFI, canales de televisión y el baño muy cómodo.

Todo estuvo perfecto. Absolutamente recomendable.

Traumhafte Lage. Balkon mit Blick auf die Felsen und Kirche. Judith ist sehr hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Da Castellfollitt sehr klein ist, hat man es schnell entdeckt, aber die Vulkane, das mittelalterliche Städtchen Besalu und auch der See in Banyoles sind in der Nähe, so dass man viel anschauen kann. Wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Our host was friendly, spoke English, shared fantastic local knowledge, maps, suggestions for off piste travels. Superb food for breakfasts, the best fresh foods in season.

Sorry, nothing to complain about.

First, the location and view are perfect and easily accessible. The room(s) on the first floor of the house are very nice, include a private bathroom, and the breakfast was fantastic. The host made sure we had everything we needed and offered great suggestions on what to do in the area including some great hikes and day trips.

Amazing location and Judith was such a friendly, helpful, and lovely host. The breakfast was fantastic and the local walks were easy to access. It was a super memorable property and perfect for me and my two sons.

The location on the cliff edge is amazing and the accommodation is excellent with everything we needed. Unfortunately Judith was away on holiday so we didn’t get to meet nor could we enjoy breakfast but that did disrupt our stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a very special place to stay in Castellfollit

We came here to stay in this unique location on the cliff top, but it was so much more. The town of Castellfollit de la Roca is charming, and peaceful. We really enjoyed the downtime, relaxing on the cliff-top terrace at sunset - it's the stuff dreams are made of. Cala Clareta really is the perfect base for exploring around the Garrotxa region. Judith is an amazing host, who provided everything we needed (and more)... great conversation, bakery recommendations, and advice on our onward travel. Thanks Judith; it truly was an exceptional stay!

This place is so special. The room is very clean and cosy. The view from the balcony is stunning, an ideal spot of tranquility. It gives you a feeling of privacy and exclusivity. The owner is very nice and friendly. The place leaves unforgotten memories!

Our stay was very comfortable and chill. Very clean, with thoughtful details to be found in the bedroom and common areas. Coffee and tea were available all day/night, with little sweets on the side. The breakfast was fabulous, including home baked muffins. Such a charming place, with spectacular views from the balcony. Offers a unique perspective of watching birds fly from the top view. It was quite a privilege. We will be returning for sure. Judith took such wonderful care of us, making sure we were all settled and had everything we needed. Of all things, we had a lovely conversation about bats. Definitely a super host! Great tips about places to see, where to hike, and where to find the best pizzas.

Truly amazing place and everything is thought of by Judith. Also the breakfast is very good and different every morning. the location allows you to visit a lot of nearby small villages and cities (by car).

All perfect, really. I would have liked to have a microwave or small oven around - as no many restaurants in town- but it's just a room actually. So more than enough

Cala Clareta is an exceptional accommodation, wonderfully positioned on the cliff edge in the lovely hilltop village of Castellfollit de la Roca. The bedroom and bathroom are large, comfortable, and beautifully furnished, there is an additional living area for guest use, and the cliff edge terrace has a spectacular view. Judith is without a doubt one of the best hosts (if not the very best) we have ever had in all our years of travel. Her delicious breakfasts were gourmet, fresh, beautifully presented, and different every day. She lent us maps, made recommendations for restaurants, drives, hikes, and the best route onward, and provided lots of local information. We highly recommend this wonderful accommodation, this wonderful village, and this wonderful host! Stay here, you will not have a better experience anywhere else!

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Spotlessly clean room and breakfast area. Loved the style too! The balcony over the cliff was a great sunny breakfast spot. Absolutely loved the peaceful, quiet, and scenic location! Judith gave us great tips for hiking and exploring the area. The town, Castellfollit de la Roca, has a few great restaurants (including a pizza place that used delicious French cheese) and a bakery that we enjoyed. We easily could’ve spent the entire week hiking and exploring around Castellfollit de la Roca, but the location also made a great jumping off point for day trips to Cap del Creus, Croscat and Santa Margarida volcanoes, and even Andorra. We loved it!

Fabulous views and superb breakfast every day

Loved the house. For perfection for us Small touches such as 2 plates, milk basic cutlery and ideally a microwave would be great as the very few village eateries and the supermarket are often not open especially in low season (May) so it would be nice to be able to make a simple snack or reheat a pizza. Probably our not reading the detail but we hadn’t realised it was one bedroom and a small dining area in a house with us as the only guests rather than a guest house/ small hotel . As such it was lovely as we had complete privacy and personal serving of delicious homemade breakfast on the balcony by the landlady who is really friendly. Anyway truly lovely place but be prepared to drive a few miles for good food in the evenings.
