The gardens were absolutely beautiful! The colorful, lovely birds were always at the feeders right at our front door. The front porch was one of the most peaceful and relaxing places we encountered on our 12 day trip to Costa Rica! Señora Haydee and her son Kenneth were so warm, welcoming, and helpful. The location is in a little spot with gardens surrounding the property so you feel secluded even though you are within a short walk to a bakery/cafe, a couple restaurants, and a mini grocery. Señora Haydee offers a few different delicious breakfast options for you to choose from and cooks them each morning, served with absolutely amazing marmalade for toast! We found so much peace and relaxation in the rocking chairs in the front porch enjoying the birds and gardens each day. The room was big enough for our family of 4 to rest each day after adventures and was spacious enough for us to spread out. Everything was VERY clean. We would love to stay here again if we return to Monteverde! Thank you so much!

My son and I stayed at Casa de Haydee. We took a picture with Ms. Haydee and Kenneth at our departure because we loved them that much. Kenneth’s communication and care is above and beyond. Ms. Haydee is adorable and her breakfasts are amazing. The location is wonderful and walking distance to restaurants. We walked to the town shopping center but it would be difficult for those that have problems with inclines/declines and is about a mile.

I do not have any real concerns. The only improvement would be maybe to have some screens on the windows to improve airflow. At night we slept comfortably so it wasn’t a big issue.

the room is very nice, spatious, amenities in the room and the bathroom are of good quality. the family is friendly, helpful and easily reachable, they themselves live there and rent 1 apartment in their house. The house is cleans and cozy.

Location, it’s very close to the road and you can hear noise from passing by cars.

The owners were incredibly nice and the breakfast was amazing !

Lack of air conditionning.

The room was large and very comfortable. It was a lovely stay with the family and we were very well looked after by Haydee.

The location is great as it’s a short walk to santa elena town and like a 10min ride to the start of the cloud forest. Also there are plenty of restaurants around and a supermarket. Haydee and her family are the sweetest and helped us with everything and provided many recommendations. Her pancakes are the best i’ve had so far! beautiful garden with lots of plants that Haydee can tell you all about. Nice to sit outside as well to watch the birds. Highly recommend staying here!!

Haydee is the sweetest host, there is a beautiful garden area to enjoy & a very comfortable room! Location is great, as were the recommendations we received. Breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend!
