Variety of break fast, club lounge and swimming pool! I can say cost performance is good.

Lobby lounge cafe, outside chairs of the room balcony and the changing room next by swimming pool. No hot water from the shower in the changing room…tried 3 shower booths but all were same no hot water…and locker was not that clean. Looks like not many people use often, so no body really maintain there. But better to check if there is hot water from the shower at least every morning… Staff at lobby lounge cafe always didn’t really take an attention at the guest. Had seat and waited for 10min, no body came and after putting the menu on the table…again no body came… And all cushions on the room balcony chairs were prepared by top side down due to all upper sides were worn out… It was still able to seat but…come on…it’s Hyatt… Overall about this hotel equipments and services, places guests are always there, staff and equipments are ok but otherwise it’s easy to find out shoddy sides…hope these would be optimized.

Family pool and proximity to beach. Breakfast also good.

Good location in Haitiang Bay. Nice decor to the hotel. Restaurant staff were pleasant and friendly. Nice spacious room with pool.

Administration was terrible. At checkin they had problems processing my booking. Was given the room card - not shown or directed to the room. Had to ask where it was and how to get there. The key card didn’t work. Entered the room and the pool was the size of a plunge pool and one you could hardly swim in. Went back to reception and asked to change room. Finally manage to to that. As we asked for an extra bed for our daughter they provided a cot for an 8 year old, even though her age was stated. Instead of a king sizes bed they’d put two beds together and also had single sheets, which was just not acceptable for a hotel if this status and the price we were paying. Lack of information, no proactivity on the administration side. Paid a deposit upon checking in, and then had several meals on site - to then be told we could charge to the room because we didn’t have enough deposit. Only in China would you get this type of response. Needless to say we had enough deposit but we left thinking as long as the hotel owe us money it was ok, but you could not stay there and be charged for your stay at the end of it.

Great location, great service, excellent room layout with a view. I’d say it’s a great value!

Pools, View and the gentle staff

Visited the place with my family and everybody liked it. The staff is exceptional and helping you with all of your needs. What we liked most was the outstanding outdoor and pool area. Even it is one of the bigger hotels with many guests, it doesn’t feel crowded and you can always find a spot to relax in silence and enjoy your well-being.

Exceptional service. Starting from Rocky to the rest of the staff at Grand Hyatt that went all out to make our stay at Hyatt an exceptional trip to Sanya. Rocky made huge customer service/ efforts to make our stay a memorable one. Shout out to Maggie, Chris and rest of the Hyatt team. Great breakfast selection. We really enjoyed the food at Pool grill. Overall a wonderful choice for holiday at Sanya.

Two areas that could improve. One is the selection of TV choices lacked English movies such as HBO, Starmovies, Cinemax and etc. Plus not much activities for teenagers/older kids. Howver the overall service and experience made up the these gaps.

The whole place is extremely beautiful, nice garden, different pool areas to facilitate also quite areas etc.

The beach is not well kept, a lot of plastic rubbish in the sand. Also, it is not allowed to swim in the sea - we tried (the notice said ‘at your own risk’) and were ordered out of the water by an employee of the hotel who explained that ‘the government does not allow guests of the hotels to swim in the sea’ and that the hotels are responsible to enforce this rule…. Does not make sense, why should one go to the sea if not to bathe? Even if swimming in the sea is not allowed, the state of the beach - in front of such a nicely kept hotel park - is an utter disgrace. Filled rubbishy bags are piled up at higher levels of the beach, but apparently not collected on a regular basis, plastic and other rubbish on the beach is not regularly removed…..

The choice of pools and well maintained grounds, delicious breakfast options and on-site cafe and restaurants. Location close to Atlantis, Waterpark, CDF mall and Arena Mall for a variety of dining choices and to buy groceries supplies.

Room was luxurious and private pool was amazing! Staff were friendly especially Joyce at Reception who made our stay perfect and Fion in the Club Lounge. Both spoke English well. Club lounge was good value for money and food is good. Resort is green and beautiful and next to the beach. A tropical paradise. Will definitely stay again!!

The rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly. Good value. Good food.

Too many kids everywhere. The zen pool should be reserved for older kids and adults. The younger ones have so many other places. Same in the club lounge. But I understand it’s not easy. At least the zen pool should be maintained for a zen experience.

The room was very good and it was upgraded. The beach was amazing. The Zen swimming was very zen but there was a constant annoying sound from the cleaning system that should be fixed.

The Chinese restaurant service can be largely improved but the food was good. For this level of five star hotel with this price the breakfast is a shame, very low quality products. The room service stops at 11 PM, which is not good.

Globally it is a nice location, quiet , with many restaurants close to the Resort .

A part of the swimming pool was closed , another one was not filtered (jacuzzi out of order the last 2 days )

The pools are nice and have plenty of space, the rooms are also well appointed, and the massive bathtub is a pleasant feature

Was a pity that the spa wet areas and saunas were still closed for COVID reasons… also, the grill restaurant closes for two days in a row, leaving not many options for dining

The staff were very helpful, the food quality at the restaurants was excellent.

Although positioned close to the beach, there was almost no view of the sea at all from the hotel! The premises consisted of very high palm trees, very overgrown with no clearing for a view of the sea. There were no loungers with a view and no shade. The whole area felt extremely claustrophobic. No loungers on the beach and actually swimming is forbidden in the sea! Not great for a supposed "beach holiday" It was almost as though the hotel design was trying to hide the fact that there was a sea and a beach there.

Pool area well maintained and beautiful setting. Chinese restaurant with excellent service of very good quality food. The pool grill has an excellent menu and very capable staff.

Improve on room maintenance, the wooden floors need a wax, currently many patches, beach front would become a nice place to inhale good quality sea air and the location of chairs, beds would be a plus.

The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had a bed and a jacuzzi on the balcony. Our room was on the 17th floor so we had space, comfort and privacy altogether. Our 2 kids enjoyed themselves at the Atlantis Aquaventure so much. The hotel is close to this waterpark, lots of restaurants, and supermarket. Very convenient.

The pools in the hotel and the beach area didn't meet my expectation. Some part of the garden seemed to be abandoned - rotten trees and broken steps.

Love the cleanliness and space of the rooms- Grand Ocean Family Connecting Suite. The view from the rooms was awesome. Truly a relaxing trip for my family!

Anti slip mats can be provided at the bathrooms to prevent slips, since it's marble flooring.
