there was a smell of cat urine in the hall way and bathroom. It was very off putting. The pillows smelt a bit fusty too.

The room was warm and the location was okay for my needs (I came and went walking). Owner informed me kinkly on breakfast places I could go to in the neighbourhood. Also appreciated the availability of a microwave oven to cook my supper.

The sheets in the bed were not clean, the fridge was dirty. Moreover, the bedroom is adacent to the shared bathroom and the flashing the loos is very noisy and resonated very loudly in the bedroom. These two things contributed to ruining my stay there.

Soap for handwashing in bathroom, bath mat in case anyone slips getting out if the shower!!!!

The host was very friendly and even when he saw I was struggling to find the place he texted to say exactly where he was. He showed me where I was staying. It was like a home from home place. It helped me out as I was working close by ans saved me travelling 1.5hours each way just to get home and back to work. Will be using again

Home away from home. Quiet, comfy and warm. Just what I needed.

Cheaper than anywhere else in town by quite a bit, fresh carton of milk and tea / coffee provided, quick responses via texts, peaceful night, what else do you want when you just want to crash for the night 😁

The owner was verry friendly and helpfull. He was at home welcoming us and showed us the room and what we could do. He has 3 nice cats. Is a smoker, but in the house he kept it pretty clean. Also recomended restaurants close by that where good and friendly too. For sure we recoment him to other travelers.

Chris was such a great host and very accommodating, any request we had wasn't any trouble. If your looking for a nice simple place to stay, it does exactly what it says in the tin! Very happy, will definitely recommend and would stay again.

great location for Shepton mallett

Very simple accommodation, me and my partner stayed fri-sun for a local festival. The room was clean with a comfy double bed, fridge with new milk in it, kettle, microwave, and stuff to make tea & coffee. Didnt end up meeting the host as we were out most days and nights, but he was very responsive over message and never took long to reply if I had a question. Located near a co-op, few pubs, and a decent fish and chip place. If you are just looking for a place to crash this has everything you need.

It was 2.6 mile walk to Bath and West Showground - obviously not the hosts fault but just bare it in mind if you are considering this accommodation for a festival. It is a shared bathroom with the host - again this wasn't a problem and was clearly stated like this in the property description so I'm not rating him down for this but some people may not want that.

Met by owner on time and given all the info we needed. Loads of tea sugar and coffee supplied, (not just two 1 cup saches). The room was clean, and as my clothes got a bit screwed up the Iron was very useful. The bed was very comfy and we both slept very well. Great value for money.

Shared bathroom, but if I read info properly I would have known that. Not used to staying in built up area, but suprised how quiet it was.

Shared bathroom clean but a bit old House has four cats and litter trays around the house - room itself was clean and comfortable- also cat free A person with cat allergies would struggle

Good communication from Chris, the owner .This was our second time staying there. It is a short fairly pleasant walk to the High Street. Room was comfortable with TV, kettle, microwave and fridge. A new bottle of milk left in the fridge ready for us on arrival along with teabags and coffee. Bathroom was clean, with hot water --- easy to operate power shower. The bed was very comfortable.

Communication was prompt with a welcome tone. Property was clean and no odours of any sort. Room larger than expected. Parking provided. Near enough to walk for groceries and choice of local fast food.

I'd like to pay less, but that is just me being a cheapskate.

Not clean... teaspoons and mugs not washed since last guests. Only one glass. Bathroom sink cracked and bathroom very tired. Bedding also seen better days
