This property is a gem! Small and private property. Rooms have large patios and exceptional views. Plus a pool! You’re in the heart of the vineyard and enjoying luxurious accommodations. We loved that they are also pet-friendly.
The roads all over the area are narrow and winding, so we were happy we had stopped for groceries on the way so we didn’t have to leave the property and could just stay on the patio for dinner and enjoy the views.

We were thrilled with the accommodations! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of rose wine from the winery. The suite was modern with full size appliances. The linens and towels were of a high quality and were were even provided with bathrobes and pool towels. The balcony has a stunning view of the Duoro Valley and we enjoyed taking a dip in the pool on hots days after touring.
The washroom didn't have a lock on the door which can be inconvenient for 2 couples staying :)
But everything else was perfect!

The pool was nice.
No breakfast. No food. Mini well equipped kitchen pots, plates forks, knifes in the room. All the essentials missing. No salt, no pepper,no oil, no vinegar. None. If you think of going, make sure to bring the essential stuff for food as no food to be found anywhere. Not even a piece of bread... Stayed in a vineyard with zero wine... Drove 15 km to go buy some wine. Very disappointing. No information given about the area. Communication problems. The host Maria was very nice but spoke Portuguese only.

Our favourite accommodation on our road trip. Peaceful and relaxing location that is away from the main tourist spots. Intimate setting - only five self-serviced apartments and a small two bed cottage. Apartments finished to a high spec with a very contemporary feel. Satellite tv with English channels - only venue we stayed at during our trip that included this. Well maintained and clean swimming pool with some sun loungers. Kitchenette was modern and had all the equipment we needed. Spectacular large balcony with stunning views of the Douro Valley. Room had a lovely Kingsize bed and lounge area. Bathroom was finished to a high spec and had a large walk in shower.
Slight mix up at booking. We thought we booked the two bed cottage. However, we ended up in two separate apartments. The only problem with this was we did not have a bbq to cook alfresco. I highly recommend that they invest in a bbq for the apartments and some sun beds for the amazing deck. There was an umbrella for shade on the deck but a retractable awning would complete the contemporary high class finish.
Top tips:
- Do a food shop before you arrive as the big supermarket is an hour away and very small convenience store 10-15mins away.
- Multiple restaurants nearby but don’t be afraid to ask for takeaway(some ask you to take your own containers). Then you can enjoy it on your balcony and admire one of the best views in the Douro Valley.
- Main vineyards are about 45-60mins away. Not a problem as it is a lovely drive. Book ahead of time for most vineyards.
