Gostei apenas da localização por ser muito central.
O café da manhã é lamentável, o "sumo de laranja" na verdade é um refrigerante. Não havia ovos nem frutas nem bolos, apenas pão, leite e café. O quarto é bem simples e tudo muito velho. A banheira estava mal limpa e não há nenhum candeeiro pequeno para facilitar a iluminação quando já há alguém a dormir no quarto. Fora isso, fiz a reserva junto com minha família mas os quartos ficam em prédios diferentes com uma quadra de distância, dificultando MUITO a logística uma vez que eu estava com duas crianças pequenas e precisava de ajuda.

seal king the Camino. This was a convenient location. very friendly staff and a nice breakfast.
The room I was assigned had a few problems. I reserved a double bed…but was given a tiny room with twin beds. Also, the shower head was broken , toilet seat broken

O local fica realente na parte central de Vila Real, em frente a uma praça. A localização é ótima, local e super agradável. O estabelecimento é conformável, ótimo café da manhã com uma boa variação. O local tem uma excelente limpeza e ótimos funcionários, super educados. O quarto foi limpo, e pela minha surpresa quando eu cheguei já no início da noite o aquecedor central estava ligado e foi ótimo, pois, a temperatura estava muito baixa. Indicaria e voltaria.

Escalera muy pendiente y estrecha. Ventana tapada con persiana fija de madera. Tres camas en la misma habitación. Entrada al edificio por un bar.........

with Vila Real being a very cold town in the winter, the air-conditioning is inadequate to heat the room - one has to either keep it on and breath very dry air or shut it off and be cold. The absence of proper heating, though common in Portugal, is frankly problematic

The staff is nice.
The location is very good.
The room I had booked was occupied because the guest had extended her stay. The other rooms I was offered were of inferior quality. The owner suggested I cancel the reservation if I was not satisfied.
It was past 7pm and there was no way to find another hotel at that time. I accepted one of the rooms offered.
The bathroom was very bad, water was accumulating in the shower box.
There is no sound insulation whatsoever in the rooms. It is possible to hear people from the other rooms or noises from the corridor.
Considering the price and the quality, I would say that this is an accommodation for very short stays, not more than one day. It's a pity, as the location is excellent and the Douro region is very beautiful.
