I appreciated early contact via WhatsApp by owner and able to check-in a bit early. Coffee/tea making items provided. Nice to have mini-frig and a/c during very hot weather. Bed linens lovely. Quiet location behind church.

Somewhat hard to find. Would have liked tv to work to watch Tour de France though this was a minor detail.

The apartment was perfect, great location and perfect spot to sit with a bottle of wine and enjoy the sunset.

The shuttle to the town was wonderful, but you wait for it and people behind you shove to get on board ahead of you. there is no organization. The drivers were great, but they should have an area to properly form a line.

Clean, tastefully furnished, comfortable, romantic location with easy access to all of Corniglia. Wish we'd had more time to explore.

A little hard to communicate if you lack whatsap, early check-out (1000), and bit pricey but not unreasonable.

The steep stairs to get to the apartment and it wasn’t easy to find.

The.appartment is lovely, really clean, very comfortable beds. We were à family of 3 and it was perfect for us. We communicated with our host by whatsapp and all of the instructions were very clear. She also booked for us à great restaurant in Corniglia and recommended a great place in Monterosso. The location is great, very central. We really enjoyed the village especially late at night and early morning without crowds.

Right next door to the apartment is a mini soccer space and people pound thr ball against the walls late into the night. So I would suggest bringing ear plugs or noise.cancelling headphones if you want to get to bed early. These will also be useful as the church bells from the church next door start at 7am, but that's part.of the deal if you want to enjoy an Italian village. In spite of the noise, I would stay here again!

Cristina, whom you rent from, is a great person and gave all necessary instructions and help when asked. She also gave me advice related to arrival hour (since initially I was going to arrive late), and some tips on open restaurants, since because of low season, everything was closed. She also answered fast and was always available. Room is super comfortable and clean, with everything you need for a stay. We had a nice balcony where we watched the sea and sun coming down.

It is a room rent, it is not an airbnb, but it would have been nice to have some plates/cutlery in the room to help with our breakfast! But this did not diminished in anyway the quality of our stay!

Excellent apartment - spacious, bright, immaculately clean, superb little balcony with a view on the sea (room 1 - ask for it), tastefully decorated, well supplied. Really comfortable and (mostly) quiet. Our host Cristina was excellent with her communications, and very helpful. PLEASE - if you stay here, have dinner at La Laterna around the corner. Highly recommended food and hospitality. We enjoyed staying here very much. Credit to the owners.

Slightly difficult to find. Clearer instructions on their booking page would be helpful. So, IF YOU ARE GOING THERE: when you (presumably) step off the bus in the main piazza, turn left (westwards) up Via Fieschi (Corniglia’s “Main Street”) for about 100 metres. On your left there’s a tiny grey church and you’ll see La Lanterna to the right of it. walk past the right hand side of the church until you see the courtyard at the back of it. on your right there are two flights of steps. Go up both of them. At the top of the second flight, look to your right. There’s a green door. You’re there. Easy. ALSO - note that the courtyard at the rear of the church seems to be a popular hangout for the local teenagers. They may be noisy at night time, but you can prepare a strategy for that.

Beautifully located overlooking a great view over the Cinque Terre coast

1. Booked for 3 nights and host refused to change towels. 2. Being referred to the local cantina La Laterna just around the corner, this was a total disaster. The owners have been more worried on feeding themselves than the guests, thus a no-go. Then we found Cecio Ristorante and was 100% perfect food and lovely hosts.

Il Timone was such an excellent choice. It was exactly what we needed: a nice clean place to rest our tired bones from the stunning but strenuous hikes around Cinque Terre. Plus a balcony with a view. What more can you ask for?

I do understand that this is the natural trend of things, but it is always nice to be welcomed by a real person. I do need to add that the communication was perfect, and I have no complaint whatsoever. As the room was for 4 people, it would be also nice to have more cups and glasses for everybody. Otherwise everything perfect :)

Clean and quite large. Good location. Over all a good stay and I would recommend it.

A bit windy due to that the door on the top floor did not close fully. We had not understood that it was an air bnb so we were looking for a reception.

- only after our stay I read the negative comments about the owner harassing the people, and I can confirm that it’s true. She said (always via text) that we should leave the key in the room which we did. But then she started sending me so many messages claiming we didn’t. Very rude messages. And then all of a sudden she said she found it under the closet and that we placed it there on purpose to harass her and again sending very rude messages. I mean why would we place the key under the closet?? - it’s also true that it is very loud in that area, but that didn’t bother us too much - one of the rooms had no window, only the bathroom had a window
