Nice, practical and clean apartment with a balcony with mountain and ocean views. Within walking distance to waterfront and cafes. Undercover, secure parking. Friendly host and daily housekeeping.

Location and cleanliness

Advertised as 1 bedroom apartment. More like a studio

There was space to move around vs a smaller hotel room, set up was great and had what I needed ie comfortable lounge, great bed and pillows, microwave, Kiki fridge toaster and kettle etc. Marco was lovely - called to check on my arrival time, showed me the apartment and also kindly helped me with my bags from the garage as I had a knee injury - was sorry I was only there for 1 nt!

Mario was lovely. The location is good (close to the beach and North Wollongong train station). The bed was super comfortable. Everything was very clean. There were amenities like a stove, pots, pans, cutlery, freezer, fridge, etc., which all worked. The instant coffee from the packets provided in the room is the best I've ever had. (I like instant coffee.)

Booked a Queen Suite and didn't get it . Was given a down standard room.

the owner told us he had put us in the "quite room", well, nothing was quite about this room, was woken at 6am with the sound of the guy in the next room, using the toilet, and then, the huge amounts of coughing and then moving furniture around, was as if the guy was in our room. plus the mattresses we really really bad,I mean really bad, I'd never stay at this place again

When I first walked in, check in was tricky. I was stared down by the owner, it seemed as if he didn’t know he had guests arriving. The owner then asked “I’ll give you a better room for $10” I felt intimidated and pressured by this comment & his body language. I had read a review stating that someone’s trip was cancelled by the owner last minute, for no reason, with no warning, I didn’t want to push my luck so I complied to give him $10. He then put an amount in the credit terminal, and I tapped my card. I then came to realise I was charged $145, when I had already paid for my booking on booking.com - he then seemed shocked - I let him know of this error and he refunded my money back, he then asked if I had $10 cash, I gave him cash for this “room upgrade” - I’m unsure if it was an upgrade as I had never seen the room i originally booked. This seemed scammy. I can’t say I’d like to return. Thank you for having me.

Nothing, it was all good

In a quiet location a great place to spend some nights (or days). Really appreciated the bath oppurtunity with the shower. The TV had great selection of channels AND Netflix. The room was spacious and cozy with many places to sit and relax or do some work behind tables. All the elementaries for eating were there - all the cutlery, dishes, microwave etc. The host was really gracious, attentive, helpful, warm and does his work with heart.

Would have liked to use some salt and pepper since the location for food making was terrific :) There are 2 biggest minuses for me a) the doors weren't soundproof at all, so you could hear chatter in the hallway or the door slams. I feel very grateful that I took my earplugs with me, but it was still quite a racket especially when the morning came. B) The wi-fi was so uneven and many times it was inaccessible; luckily I didn't have any compulsory doings on my laptop, but watch out if you're having an home office day there. Would have appreciated some more colors, paintings and plants in the room to make it cozier. Also be aware of the step to the bathroom - stubbed my toe there once.

Online booking was for One Bedroom Apartment which was confirmed by email as “One-Bedroom Apartment” What was given was a Studio Apartment so didn’t match what was described. Kitchenette, television sitting area, and Queen double bed all in one largish room, no separation. There was only a single lounge chair for one person whereas there were four dining chairs🤷🏻‍♂️ No mood lighting, just stark ceiling down lights.
