Large, clean rooms, great shower etc, great staff.

When we arrived at Casa Xativa, we couldn't get in. With significant communication problems, we were finally directed, by phone, to another casa. We waited an hour , and eventually got a room for 3 of us. We had ordered, and paid for, 2 rooms. The staff managed to sort out another room. In the end, we had 2 very large, clean rooms!

Prefer not to share bathroom, but very clean and not a problem to schedule.

I am almost 80 and stairs were difficult.

The location was good - only 5 minutes from the main square. There wasn't a great deal else to like.

The owner was aggressive, rude and untrustworthy. I had made a mistake in booking a twin room but with only one guest - I didn't think this would be a problem and offered to pay the difference, however, he kept demanding a ridiculous amount of money - in cash - and not through the platform. I checked the website and said I would pay the actual difference. He became totally irate, screaming and gesticulating in both of our faces. On the the second day we got an apology and he said that when he is tired and stressed he can 'sometimes get very angry'. After this, he continued knocking banging on our room door and shouting because we said we were leaving and would be making a complaint. We ended up having to leave before the end of our stay as we felt unsafe.

Budget hostel in the center of Xativa. Basic but comfortable. Good value for price.

There was no waste sorting in the kitchen.

The staff is ULTRA friendly. They work hard to keep the place clean and they care about how it looks. They also accommodated my daughter, who is diabetic, by placing a minni fridge in her room, for her insulin. Very responsive and they are in the place daily. Their is a laundry on the facility you can use for free. A great top deck/terrace with a great view of the castle. Its also in a great spot for getting to the markat.

The first issue I have, is with Booking.com, NOT the hotel. I booked a room through Booking.com, to gain benefits, and it was for 2 people. BUT, the hotel charged me for a 2nd person upon arrival. This is the second time I have had this issue with a hotel I secured through Booking.com. They can't seem to get booking for more than 1 person right. Next, the hotel is more of a Bed & Breakfast/Hostel type facility. I thought we would have our own bathroom, but it is shared. The other challenge I had, was that if you'r on the top floor, Wifi does not reach. So you have to use your own hotspot. I don't think its an issue for any floor but the very top. Finally, I am 6'3 and a half. (1.92-1.93 meters), and 129 kilos. The mattress was not comfortable. My daughter was just fine. I dont think this will be an issue for most people. But if your a big guy, you might have reason to be concerned.
